Billy McCallion, a professional photographer who has photographed the stars is now bringing his creative wedding photography services to Ayrshire and throughout Scotland.

Billy McCallion has been photographing weddings all over the UK, mostly here in Ayrshire and Glasgow. Beautiful locations such as Culzean Castle, The Turnberry Hotel, Brodick Castle and many more locations throughout Scotland.

His first professional photography assignment was photographing Sean Connery, Graham Hill, Dickie Henderson at a Pro-am Golf tournament in Bearsden, Glasgow. Since then he has photographed Jackie Stewart, James Hunt, David Cassidy, Jim Watt, Gerald Harper, Ronnie Corbett, The Osmonds, Bette Davis, Robert Wagner and many more celebrities and sporting personalities throughout his career.

Billy has also photographed the Royal family including the Queen and Prince Philip on several occasions as a professional photographer working in Glasgow and his wedding photography experience includes managing photography studios in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, Paisley, Newton Mearns, East Kilbride and Ayr.

Billy McCallion was head-hunted by a further education college in Glasgow and asked me to help expand and develop photography courses and classes as a Lecturer in Photography and then Senior Lecturer in Art, Design and Photography. He has been writing and developing photography courses for students to access employment and higher education. He has also trained many students in wedding photography, portraiture, location, product and press photography for over 18 years.

His experiences as a professional photographer include photographing ships, buildings, interiors, products, celebrities and of course his favourite subject, wedding photography.

Billy McCallion brings a lot of experience and creativity to photographing weddings and his personal belief remains that a couple should enjoy their wedding and Billy, as a professional photographer, will do everything he can to ensure the couple relax and enjoy their special day so that they have lasting creative images to treasure.
