At Birch Cottage, Helmsdale, we specialise in providing good value comfortable accommodation.

Although our characterful victorian cottage might look small from the road its actually three stores high! Wth four bedrooms we can therefore provide accommodation for up to eight guests.

We are located in the heart of the historic village of Helmsdale and overlooking the mouth of the River Helmsdale, one of the most prestigious salmon fishing rivers in Scotland. Our self-catering accommodation is an ideal location from which to base your holiday in the North of Scotland.

We are within easy reach of well known tourist attractions such as Dunrobin Castle, the Castle of Mey, Dornoch Cathedral and the Falls of Shin and less known sites such as the Kildonan Goldrush Trail (where you can still pan for gold! ). Helmsdale is situated on a stunning coastline, with some of the quietest and cleanest beaches in the whole of the British Isles close by.

Prices for a week range from £400 to £700 with short breaks starting from £200.
