This place has the best steak pie by far. Excellent small average sized in that has a nice country feel / atmosphere. It is extremely popular with the local community and once you go you are sure to want to go back.
Booking is always advised as it can get very busy especially around tea time and especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
High tea is served early tea time and is well worth the money as you get tea toast main course and then a selection of fancy cakes.

Decent pub, can be very busy at times but in general it's a peaceful place to get a beer or some food and relax. Prices aren't too bad in my opinion.

Slightly disappointing. Fish and chips came only with peas no other veg so value for money not great and sadly chips no better than supermarket chips. I asked for the thick cut ones but regular chips meal wasn't very hot either. Only 1 meal out of the 3 we ordered seemed to offer good value for money.

Reasonable little place, friendly and casual feel....leaving one relaxed....great waiting staff, cheerful souls willing to offer advice and recommendations....all are welcome and catered for....
The food is average for this type of establishment....
Not sure why there steak pie is famous, on the basis of "famous" i had to give it a try and was left with a feeling of disappointment, where as it was fine and nothing wrong with it; it was no different to any other generic steak pie I've had elsewhere....

Worth the short trip from Dundee. Homemade food is excellent. Waitresses are very helpful. Dining area and bar were clean and well maintained. Great areas to keep kids amused. Early booking required for special occasions.

Quite simply the best restaurant this side of Dundee. Been probably 100 times and NEVER had any problems! Food is always fantastic and service great!
