Two of the Oldest (and best) Charity Shops in Edinburgh. Supporting Birthlink and the fantastic work that they do.

Birthlink is a small Scottish charity, based in Edinburgh. We offer support and advice to adopted adults, birthparents, adoptive parents, birth families and other professionals worldwide. The work of Birthlink is invaluable to those who seek out support.

We offer a range of services for adults affected by adoption, operating the Adoption Contact Register for Scotland, a computerised database with the aim of putting adopted people and their birth relatives in touch when both parties wish for this to happen. We also offer services such as searching, mediation, accessing legal documents, and helping adults who have been in care find information about their past.

We have two thrift shops in Edinburgh, the proceeds of which support the work of Birthlink.
