Bisma Farooq Personal Training Description

I believe everyone deserves to look and feel their best in life.

I am very passionate about training and keeping fit, and strive to live a healthier lifestyle. A few years ago I was in the position of just starting out in the gym and figuring out food and gym regimes. As I got to grips with the gym life and started seeing improvements, I would get approached by friends, family, and other gym members asking for help and advice. I enjoyed being able to help others and this pushed me to go on to learn more and qualify as a personal trainer.

I have the ability to motivate and inspire clients regardless of physical fitness level and abilities, encouraging habits that are life changing. I offer exciting and enjoyable programs designed to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be: weight loss; toning; fat burn; strength; core stability; improving your health; and attaining a total sense of well-being.

I believe fitness and diet go hand in hand when it comes to maintaining and keeping at fit and healthy lifestyle. As a qualified sports nutritionist I can provide you with the help and advise you may need on healthy eating /diets to reach your goal.

I aim to not only train, but to educate my clients as well as constantly expand my own skill set. I believe in what I do and I work extremely hard in order for you to come out of this process happier; more confident; healthier; and most importantly with the physique you desire.

Luisa progressing from TRX pikes and knee tucks to TRX and bosu ball pikes and knee tucks! Took it up a level by adding bosu ball to engage the stabilising muscles more! The TRX knee tuck targets balance, stability and core strength. It is a challenging core and abdominal exercise that also requires good upper body strength. By pulling the knees towards your body the hip flexors are heavily involved.
... Place your feet in the TRX straps. Lift your knees from the floor and assume a push-up position. Keep the torso straight and the core tight. The knees and hips are extended and the spine is neutrally aligned. Pull your knees towards your chest. Return to the starting position by extending both legs out again. Do not lower the hips while you pull the knees in. πŸ’ͺβ˜ΊοΈπŸ‘ŠπŸ‹

@laura_hall94 in for leg session! Supersetting leg press and plyo lunges killer leg exercise. Incorporating plyometric exercises in your workout can improve your cardiovascular health and increase your overall fitness level from balance, to strength, to stamina. Plyo lunges requires balance, coordination, elicits a serious leg burn and gets your heart rate up significantly. Plyo lunge (or any plyometric exercise) is not an easy exercise. If you haven’t done a plyometric exercise before, be careful and be sure to get a good warm up beforehand.

Luisa killin' her ab workout! TRX pikes and knee tucks combo.
The TRX pike targets balance, stability and core strength. It's a very challenging core and abdominal exercise that also requires good upper body strength.
... Brace your torso by engaging your core/abdominal muscles. Keep the glutes (butt) and quadriceps (thigh) muscles engaged and strong, hands placed shoulder-width apart, under your shoulders and fingers facing forward elbows are straight (plank position) Keep your head and spine aligned feet together throughout the exercise, avoid back and forth swinging of the TRX straps. Keep the glutes and quadriceps contracted to maintain hip stability. Engage abdominals bring your hips toward the ceiling and pull your legs toward your chest. Keep the legs straight and strong and toes pointed. Continue the movement until your hips move directly over your shoulders in somewhat of a handstand position. Keep the torso rigid.
Don'ts Do not allow the low back or ribcage sag or arch. Do not allow the hips to hike upward. Do not allow the spine to arch or bow. Do not try this exercise until you can demonstrate capability to effectively stabilise your lumber spine (low back).
The intensity of this exercise can be increased by lengthening the straps and positioning your body further away from the anchor point of the TRX.

Arm session with Jen! Great superset of cable hammer curls and tricep rope pulldown!
Cable hammer curls -Hold the rope with a neutral (palms-in) grip and stand upright keep back natural and your upper body still . -Elbows tucked into your side, keep them still during the entire movement. Only the forearms should move. That's the starting position. ... -Using your biceps, pull your arms up until your biceps touch your forearms. Keep the elbows in and your upper arms still. -Make sure you squeeze your biceps, slowly start to bring the weight back to the original position.
Tricep rope pull down key point. -The forearms should be pointing up towards the pulley as you hold the rope with the palms facing each other. Thats the starting position. -The upper arms should always remain stationary next to your torso and only the forearms should move. -Bring each side of the rope to the side of your thighs as you pull the rope down and fully extended the arms
Variations: There are many variations to this movement. For instance you can use a V-angled bar or straight bar.

6am session with Fiona! Smashed through her session as always. Changing things up a little this morning by going from back squats to front squats. This is not an exercise to be taken lightly. If you have back issues, substitute it with the dumbbell squat variation or a leg press instead. If you have a healthy back, ensure perfect form and never slouch the back forward as this can cause back injury. Be cautious as well with the weight used; in case of doubt, use less weight rather than more. The front squat is a very safe exercise but only if performed properly.

Never thought I'd ever have a personal trainer but so glad I decided to step outside my comfort zone and go for it, Bisma is amazing, she has made me feel so much more confident in my abilities and pushes me to my limit so I can get the best out of my workouts.

User

My first thought of a Personal Trainer was that it would be like an army Sargent standing over you shouting and the thought of going to the GYM already scared me but she has taken a VERY apprehensive person to someone that enjoys the gym in a short period...

I strongly recommend her and already have to a few people.

User

I totally love being trained by Bisma, it one of the best decisions I have ever take.

She completely cares about you and is really commited for your success.

She helps you to change this small and nasty nutritional habits that really makes the difference and with the working out she smashes them out, encuraging you to push yourself throught your limits, so you will definetivally felling better after the training sesion.

She is also a great class instructor, so if you are thinking of taking someone as your personal trainer I really encurage you to get her. You won't regret it.

User

I can't thank Bisma enough for what she has helped me achieve, best thing I done, couldn't have done it without her. I can't wait to get back to Dundee to get booked in for some more sessions!
