That’s it for another year. Last calf hit the ground yesterday a nice wee heifer calf. 7 bulls and 3 heifer calfs this year all in good health can’t ask for much more!
First ever home bred bull now out running with cows! Fingers crossed this pair will produce a beautiful calf next year🤞 Bachy 44th of woodneuk and Eoin Mhor of Black Glen!
Calves not bothered too much by the recent wet weather!
Beautiful day for halter training bulls☀️
Show yearling shaping up nicely for the coming show season. A full sister to the champion senior heifer and top price female at Oban!
Eoin Mhor of Black Glen a young bull that was successfully shown this year has been retained to be used as the stock bull for the next few years. We hope he can breed as well as his back pedigree has in the past!🤞
Bachy 44th of woodneuk was purchased at Oban, top price 3 year old and one of the picks of the day. With Royal highland show champions on both parents sides what a heifer she is!

Nice frosty morning for putting a cow and calf out, couldn’t ask for much better!
Strong bones, a straight back and a leg in each corner is always a good start👌 first born calf of the year looks promising already!🤞
Calving is well underway at Black Glen since Thursday we’ve welcomed the arrivals of two new bull calfs out of two of my best cows! 2 down 8 to go!
Delighted to hear Duchess 2nd has arrived safe and sound at her new home in Northern Ireland.
Back from stars of the future after getting a 4th in a very competitive class of yearling bulls! It’s been a great year of shows for all at Black Glen. Having not left a single show this year without placing, Taking my first breed championship at Biggar show and selling the top price 2 year old at Oban!
