We won a raffle prize of three course dinner for two with wine. I'd seen bad review so wasn't sure. Food was lovely. Staff were attentive and friendly. Will be back soon. Felt bad leaving without paying though. 😂

We had a lovely family meal for my daughters 4th birthday. The food was lovely and the staff couldnt do enough for us. I would definitely visit again. Thank you Sharon 👍

Spent a fabulous afternoon celebrating my friends 50th Birthday on the 18th February 2018.

The service (there was 17 of us ) was excellent , the food delicious and great music .

I wanted a cocktail not on the menu and they were only to happy to oblige .

Me and my sister were in the sick kids last night with my niece, had been brought in by ambulance we are from Fauldhouse West Lothian to put out the hospital at 11.30 at night this hotel took us in and went over and above anything we could have imagined. When we phoned them to see if they had a room available they couldn’t be more helpful when we explained the situation and we had a five year old child in her jammies on red alert warning with the weather they tried to organise a taxi for us when we got there they brought food and drinks to our room which we weren’t charged for, the staff were absolutely amazing and very helpful and willing to help us in anything they could and nothing was a problem to them the kindness from the staff was unbelievable. We thank you yous from the bottom of hearts �

Just home after a brilliant night at this absolutely stunning hotel , the decor is just amazing !! My husband I had a delicious meal and the cocktails are to die for . The staff are so attentive and so friendly and the atmosphere is so good .Would highly recommend. Cant wait to return !!!

Had an excellent birthday night out here on Friday. Brilliant atmosphere and decor. Piano guy was great as were the bar staff. Thanks to my friends Iain Alexander, Craig Long, Gavin Syme and MT for a memorable evening...well, mostly memorable at my age! :D

Had a lovely family Easter Sunday lunch yesterday. Food was great and the staff were very attentive. Face painting for the kids was fab and Easter cup cakes was a lovely added extra. Well done guys we will definitely be back. Loved it x

First visit to Black Ivy with the family celebrating my daughters birthday. The atmosphere, decor, food, friendly staff and service was excellent! Nothing was too much trouble to Lizzie and Billy ( fussy nephews). We Even had a game of ping ping! We will definitely be back very soon.

First time in Black Ivy Bar & Hotel yesterday celebrating my aunties 90th birthday & I will be recommending to all friends & family. Staff were so friendly & helpful, my glass was always full, good was well presented, plate was full, hot & taste was amazing especially the sticky toffee pudding, lush.

What made it so special was the owner, I think his name was Billy, came through & presented Isobel with a lovely bottle of bubbly & dinner for two on another date when it wasn't so busy, just a little treat for her & a friend, that just made her special day awesome, I will definitely be returning, thank you very much for a lovely afternoon.

Excellent menu and the mac & cheese was unbelievably good! Service was also excellent with extremely attentive staff.

Absolutely stunning bar & Hotel....just what Bruntsfield has been in need of. Such a welcoming entrance with the outside area. Beautiful features inside creating an exceptional ambiance to relax and enjoy fine dinning and drinks. I’ll most certainly be back and highly recommend the Black Ivy Bar & Hotel.

A new venue from Billy Lowe who created Le Monde. Some critic on tripadviser suggested it was a George Street Bar in Bruntsfield. CORRECT. What’s wrong with that. It’s lovely and well worth a visit. Great choice of wine and very friendly staff. So helpful as I wanted the TV on to watch the HSBC Sevens from Twickenham.

Lovely place, it is nice to see Bruntsfield offering more bars � however the piano is too loud! You can't really hear each other properly. I thought it was only in the evenings and this morning I had brunch there; the piano was so loud we had to change the tables and still it was unnecessary loud. Not sure if i want to go back

Refused to serve and effectively barred me and my group of friends - even though we had never even set foot inside since refurb before this! Was a really nice establishment before the refurb, shame it had to be ruined for me by poor management decisions.
