Black Light Ltd has been supplying the industry for over 30 years with lighting, stage, sound and AV solutions becoming Scotland’s leading entertainment hire, events and installation company.
As a solutions driven company we ensure that our work starts with understanding the needs of our clients translating this onto achievable deliverables and executing to the highest order of quality service.

Black Light combine experience and knowledge of the sectors we work in such as retail, theatre, events and construction to ensure that we maximise the creative input for all customers’ needs meeting the highest levels of impact with a focus on value for money.
It is this ability to draw upon our cross sector and multi discipline expertise which we believes gives us the ability to bring “theatre experience” to our jobs such as architectural lighting and retail fit out – adding value and giving our clients the “edge” they need to differentiate their projects.

We couldn’t have picked a better week to be working at The Helix in Falkirk. Our installation team were carrying out maintenance on high level LED lighting. The weather really was in our favour!
What a great weekend working with Unique Events at Edinburgh International Film Festival Film Fest In the City, providing them with power and distribution. As always, the festival had St Andrews Square full with film lovers!
It's always a pleasure to supply kit to The Currie Beer and Curry Festival. We provided lighting and staging equipment for this year’s brilliant festival. It was a fun weekend!

Last week we were at Edinburgh College of Art at the University of Edinburgh supplying technical and design services for their Performance Costume Show 2019. Working closely with the student designers, we created looks for each piece that brought their costumes to life.
We heavily utilised our ETC Source 4 Lustr+ Profile and HIGH END SYSTEMS SolaFrame 750s for their great colour mixing and shuttering abilities. This allowed us to give life to the Sculpture Court and gave each character their own environment to shine.

Things are looking good with our Production team at Edinburgh College of Art at the University of Edinburgh for their Costume Show 2019!
On Tuesday we supplied staging equipment to Beltane Fire Society for the always exciting Beltane Fire Festival which took place at Calton Hill.
The festival celebrates the turning of the seasons with a vivid display of fire, drumming and acrobats.
Well done to our ETC/HIGH END SYSTEMS winner, Alex Phillips. Please look out for a DM with further details.

We provided some equipment to Edinburgh Science Festival for a range of their venues, including Pleasance.
As always, the #festival was fun and informative!
Returning to St Andrews for the second DONT WALK Charity Fashion Show of 2019, our Production Team were excited to be again supplying lighting, sound, rigging, structures, special effects and AV for the show.
We utilised a vast array of our equipment to create a stunning visual look for both lighting and catwalk to match the models and their outfits.

Last week, we supplied Forth Children's Theatre with equipment for their production of Whistle Down the Wind. Included in the kit was, HIGH END SYSTEMS Solaframe 750's,and ROBE lighting Spiider's and CycFX 8's.
Back in March, we provided Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with kit, including ROBE lighting equipment, for their production of Sunday in the Park with George. What a great show! #theatre #eventprofs

We’ve been busy at Lochgelly Centre upgrading their theatre house lighting system with a new GDS System. Our Installation team worked hard to deliver a finished product that the client loved.
Yesterday Edinburgh International Festival launched their 2019 programme at HeartofMidlothianFC Tynecastle Park.
Black Light are extremely proud to be a Major Sponsor this year by returning to Leith Theatre for August.
For the official launch, we helped with transforming the Gorgie Suite and illuminating the Stadium too.
... We are very proud to work with EIF, and are looking for their extraordinary 2019 programme.
