Black Medicine Coffee

Good coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Nice selection of cakes. Great atmosphere. Can be busy but more seating down stairs.

My favourite place to work quietly. So much space downstairs, good coffee and lots of food options as well as smoothies and milkshakes.

The coffee shop of choice of many University of Edinburgh students. Very quirky with good food and coffee.

Great atmosphere and coffee! Perfect place to go to get some work done in the downstairs area which is (usually) quiet. But don't go during a busy time as the wifi can slow down dramatically.

Lovely little coffee shop in a beautiful building. Im addition to coffee; tea, sandwiches, and pastries are served. Great place to read or do some work on your laptop.

super nice cafe for working. cozy, nice... the kind of place that takes the coffee a bit too seriously, but still... great to be around. Great wifi... and the basement is absolutely great for working a bit.

Almost a year since I traveled to Edinburgh, and now I have a friend going and I still remembered this coffee shop to recommend! Quirky decor and great food and beverage - it was just what I needed for a quick bite while backpacking around, or downstairs has many cute places to sit and relax. I was taken on a date here. He chose well.

Staff are great, I love their refusal to use disposable cups! I find some of the seats rather uncomfortable though, and it gets way too busy with people on their laptops at times. But if you are into working from a coffee shop, this seems to be one of the best places around!
