Traditional country pub frequented by the locals, friendly and with a well stocked bar, bar lunches and evening meals.
Stayed at lovely 5 Roads Caravan Park perfect Inn right outside -
disappointing experience barman couldn't really be less interested my normal usual drink was not as it should have been?
Food was quite nice - but no options of pudding - she took placemats away shut at 8pm!! A man's pub we were told? Such a shame a perfect place that would go hand in hand with caravan park
It is what it sets out to be...a local pub. Yes there are locals, yes the owner is behind the bar and his wonderful wife runs the attached "lounge" with wonderful meals that can also be served in the pub. I found the "locals" wonderful, nice and friendly. The Blackbird and the owners are charming and I would return there for a drink and a meal!!
