Clean and tidy cafe eatery. Service can be a little slow, however.

Someone recommended Gretna Green as a stop off when travelling along M74.

It's really busy, nearly full car park, many coaches and literally 3 minutes from the motorway.

It's a popular place yet I literally don't know why.

It's just like a motorway services in terms of motorway noise and motorway prices. There is history and if that's your thing, or you want to get married in a registry office then, it offers that. Otherwise, make Carlisle your stop on this North/South bound journey.

Food is okay, but £7.99 for a bit of gammon, some warmed oven chips and some really terrible 'vegetables' is far too much. The vegetables is my main grumble with this price.

The baked potato, with tuna and some meagre wilted salad at £4.99 isn't so bad.

Food was okay, but I definitely wouldn't stop here again or recommend it to anyone else.

A glorified cafe. Sorry about that as I have never had a meal like the one I had in any cafe. Steak pie as if it had come from a chip shop. Mixed veg cold as was the plate and cool roast potatoes that had obviously seen the inside of a microwave. Sent for manager who was a very pleasant chap and defied him to cut through one of the potatoes. He admitted he couldn't. At least I got a refund.

Had nice date & crumble slice with mediocre coffee. Mostly self service with disengaged staff.Nice seating area outside.

Completely over-the-top, money-making enterprise. Nothing is good value for money. Toilets are free to use as is the maze. Enjoy the Scots piper.

Service station atmosphere but food is good. Very crowded.

Okay very busy eating, expensive for very average cafe food. Good toilets.

Proper food and a great service.

Not very clean, food not good, failed hygiene visit not so long ago so I personally won't be going back.
