Blair Athol Distillery

we had a great tour made the more enjoyable by Derrick our guide, he was very knowledgeable about the distillery. Some amusing stories & most of his jokes were ok as well! The drams after the tour were excellent & their visitor centre shop was well stocked with lots of potential souvenirs.

Did you know that whiskey gained its colour from the barrel it is stored in? Well, I do now. This tour is really interesting and worth £7.50. That includes tasting their single malt which is lovely and a money off voucher for a 70cl bottle of whiskey.

Our guide Diana was very well informed and made for a pleasant round through the complete production process. After the tasting we had a nice chat about some whiskey details and about the way to taste and compare.

Great tour with the bubbly Karen of the very pretty Blair Athol distillery. Not usually a fan of Highland Whiskey (I prefer a Peaty number) but the Blair Athol Single Malt is fiery and tasty. Delicious! Purchased a bottle of that and a special edition Lagavulin- the £5 off vouchers given when paying for the tour were much appreciated! If you aren't sure which distillery to visit I would highly recommend this one :)

Great place to visit if you are in the area with tour prices at £7.50 which provides you with a guided tour and a £3.00 off voucher in their shop. You get up close to all of the equipment but there are no cameras or mobile phones permitted which is why I could only take one picture. The guide Jill was very informative and a great laugh and answered all of our questions.

Guided tours, knowledgeable and entertaining people. Great scenic area. If you have the chance, it's worth to stop by.

What a great tour for the £7.50 entrance fee! A very informative and interesting guide named Frank gave us a humourous and eloquent talk as he took us around the distillery. He explained everything about the process in great detail with funny little quips here and there. A real joy. At the end you get a free dram of the 12 year blair atholl scotch and also the ticket gives you £5 off many whiskeys in the shop. A great tour on my birthday! Thanks Frank!

Great way to pass an hour or so if it's raining outside. Friendly staff, excellent tour guide ( thanks Olivier!), lovely, warming taste of liquid gold at the end 😉

Didn't go through the tour but gives the impression of a factory again. Big visitor centre, pretty massive. Bus loads are dropped off here, I don't know... not my thing
