Well that’s us done for another year! Thanks to all our clients and suppliers for the busy year. Here’s a picture of our top geotechnical operative to get you in the festive mood!

The business end! When rotary drilling we typically use air flush with a DTH hammer to drive casing. This system is called Robit but we also use Symmetrix.
The drill bit locks into a rotating casing shoe and spins with the drill bit. This is perfect for tough bouldery ground found in the Highlands.

Something a bit different today, Chris and Donald were afloat in this boat at the former Ardersier Fabrication Yard sampling the sea bed with a Van Veen sampler.

We are pleased to be involved with this project by undertaking a site investigation for the scheme.

We had some nice visitors offer us a glass of milk today.

Eriboll Church, on the North Coast. No need to worry about buried services in these trial pits, the church has no power, water or drains and up to recently held services by candlelight.

Today we were digging trial pits in Forres in the sunshine.

A lovely setting for our Teredo rotary rig, set in the hills high above Loch Ness.

Today we are rotary drilling in rural Banffshire.

We are delighted to receive our latest plant, a brand new Teredo 2.8t tracked rotary rig from Italy.
This will be used for shallow geotechnical & environmental boreholes in bouldery ground where our cable percussive or dynamic sampling rig would struggle. The compact size means lower mobilisation costs and easier access.

Due to a continued workload we will be adding to our fleet of drilling rigs. More details to follow.

Full security clearance has been issued for MoD sites such as RAF Lossiemouth paving the way for continued work in what is a busy site.
