Paddy at Blake Group was so so helpful. Firstly he was able to cut me 20 steel rods, 24h turnaround. Then when I came to collect them, he was really friendly and helpful, carrying them to the car, wrapping them and carefully loading into the car to avoid damage. Splendid job! Above and beyond. Highly recommended!

I had brought in the gate motor with a cracked housing and my request was to drill and tap two holes on operating arms. Whoever did the work did very well on that and also welded the cracked housing which has saved me buying a new £200 motor.

Amazing work and all for £72 + vat - I’m just very happy with what you did.

Fabricated a steel sump guard for my four wheel drive. Made exactly to my design and fitted so well it held in place without bolts (so I could drill mounting holes). Finished quicker than expected. Guy I dealt with was incredibly helpful. Highly recommended

I have used Blake's steel in my previous work place at Richard Murphy Architects and in my current work place at Lynsay Bell Architects.
In my experience their structural steel work and fine steel detail work has always been first class which is why I will continue to use Blake's and would recommend that others do the same.

i have used blake metal centre for a few years now and have always been happy with help and support of the guys on the counter. recently i placed and order for some steel beams and a decent size galvanised steel balcony. This was a little tricky to get right with site sizes etc but got it right without to many headaches. This was a supply only order however erecting on site was trickier than we had anticipated and paddy helped us out with Drew the steel erector and the job went very well. i would not hesitate recommending the company to anyone. they are very helpful and full of good advice and help. Many thanks to all the guys (Paddy, Tam, Brian & Drew) great work !!!!

I contacted several metal suppliers to try to source some scrap metal for my sons 12 birthday. He's keen on art, so we had bought him an arc welder so he could make his own modern art pieces.
Blake Group were the only company to reply - not only did they reply but it was directly from Stuart Blake himself. He invited my son in to collect the scrap metal, which turned out not be scrap - Stuart took my son into the workshop and cut some metal from new sheets and gave him a pair of welding gloves as a birthday present too.
Also chatted to my son about their involvement in the new Forth crossing - he was blown away.
Totally first class establishment. Personal touch from Stuart Blake couldn't be equalled.

As an Edinburgh homeowner, the service was just that - 10/10!
My builder had recommended Blakes for steel finishing strips for our new glass balustrade and large sliding doors.
Although the request was a one off and a relatively small project, Paddy and his team could not have been more helpful and extremely professional.

Paddy in particular was very precise and happy to go the extra mile with advice on timbers we should use and advice for clips on the balustrade.
When our builders ran over time, the team at Blakes were happy to meet my requirements quickly and in fact ahead of schedule which was a great help.

The fact that Blakes has been successful since 1938 speaks volumes.
I will have no hesitation in recommending them to my friends and colleagues.
