BlueBridge has been working in partnership with Histon Early Years Centre to open ‘Play Professors’ after school activity club. The focus of Play Professors has been to create a play-based learning environment, managed by our early year’s education experts, Katie and Karen. Children have had support to complete tasks from school, complimented with a variety of educational activities to develop confidence, teamwork, risk-taking and the improvement of fine and gross motor skill...s. Children have also had plenty of opportunity to explore their own areas of interest. Diverse topics such as Mathematics, Science, Literacy and Expressive Arts, have been carried out through play in both the indoor and outdoor environment. It has been so important for children to be able to explore and learn in the outdoor environment, the children have been learning outdoors in the garden and growing vegetables in their own vegetable patch, which they have taken a lot of pride in. A lot of the interest has also been in the ‘Block Play Room’, where some of the children have spent a considerable amount of time focused on building their very own creations.

The team have loved exploring Nanjing 🇨🇳,which has included some sightseeing and a chance to see a former student again! We even caught yesterday’s double light blue victory in the Boat Race from a crowded bar #GDBO 🚣♀️
We enjoyed a cultural day in Kyoto and also met several students from the University of Kyoto!
A wonderful conclusion to the programme in Osaka and now the team heads to Kyoto! 🌸🌸
