We hosted a sports injuries event on Thursday evening covering the ankle, knee and shoulder with Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Injuries Specialist, Professor Gordon Mackay. Professor Mackay covered the new innovative Internal Brace and explained how the revolutionary procedure is changing our approach to ligament injuries. The Internal Brace allows people, athletes and sports professionals to get back to fitness in a number of weeks following injury, something that would usually take at least six months with any other technique.

Meet Moira Richardson and Heather Easson, our housekeeping team at the hospital. Moira and Heather are responsible for ensuring the hospital is kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout. They work across all departments, clinical and non-clinical, including the ward and theatre. They ensure cleaning policies are adhered to as well as dealing appropriately with all laundry and clinical waste.
Moira and Heather enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the hospital and the feeling of being part of a much wider team. They also like the patient contact of the role and being able to meet new people every day.
