Bobath Scotland's Life Skills group this summer was all about supporting girls age 11-14 with cerebral palsy to become more independent and confident.
If you’re the only person in your school with cerebral palsy, it really matters to have a place where you can meet others your age with a disability. The Life Skills group also gives girls the chance to meet and get advice from adults with cerebral palsy, and work on skills like taking a bus journey, ordering at a café, dressing more independently, or just putting your hair up in a bobble by yourself.
Bobath Scotland needs to raise £8.50 of every £10 spent to provide the practical services and support we deliver throughout the year. By supporting Bobath Scotland this Christmas you can help us to provide lifelong support for people living with cerebral palsy. Thank you!

“I think it’s being around other parents who understand what it’s like to bring up a child with extra needs. A lot of people don’t get it. Here, everybody understands and it’s a great atmosphere to be in. The other groups we go to, people kind of take pity on you. But here, everybody’s so friendly and so happy and it’s just a fantastic place to be I think”.

Bobath Scotland currently has restricted funding available to provide three children from the Dundee / Angus / Perth & Kinross area with a paid-for block of therapy sessions.
