We had a great weekend at the British Alpaca Society National Show. Our small team brought home 2 x 1st, 1 x 2nd and 1 x 6th We were especially delighted by our first entry into the Dam's Progeny class being awarded 1st place in a large group of entries. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make the show run so smoothly. It was great to meet up with so many friends.

Wonderful afternoon at BobCat Alpacas. Bob clearly loves and cares for his alpacas and shared such a lot of information with us. The alpacas are super cute and each has his own personality. After a wander in the country park with the males we returned to the fields to feed them and meet the girls and the two babies who are beyond gorgeous with the softest coats ever. I'd thoroughly recommend this outing for any animal lover.

What a wonderful experience! Bob and Cath made us feel very welcome and relaxed and they shared lots of interesting facts about the Alpacas. They have a great relationship with their Alpacas. The Alpacas live in a lovely environment and are beautiful, happy and extremely gentle and they love their cuddles. The trek was a relaxing walk through the countryside and very entertaining with the Alpacas regularly stopping to graze or roll about in the grass. Hand feeding them at the end of our trek was a treat in itself and meeting and feeding the mums to be and young ones was the icing on the cake. We would come back in a heart beat. Thank you for having us.

What a great experience. Bob and Cath are so welcoming and friendly. A beautiful place in Bonaly.

We got introduced to the Alpaca’s and then we could all pick one to go for a lovely walk, they all had their own personalities.

Would recommend this to anyone to go and visit.

What a great experience walking the alpacas. You can tell by the way Bob and Cath speak about the alpacas that they are very much family. They kept us right throughout the whole walk and afterwards introduced is to more alpacas and feeding them out of our hand. If you are looking for something different to do I fully recommend to give this ago. You won't be disappointed.

What a fantastic afternoon with Bobcat Alpacas. Yes the beautiful weather was a bonus but I’d have enjoyed this whatever the weather. Alpacas are such characters and you’ll see their individual personalities here! Such calming, lovable animals. Bob is obviously vet passionate about his boys and girls and they clearly adore him. Bob will share some fascinating facts about these beautiful creatures with you. He is very knowledgeable. I’m definitely going back. Wonderful way to spend d an afternoon. Thanks for a fabulous time.

We spent a most excellent time with Bob and his alpacas. Any apprehension we had about walking the alpacas went very early on. All the other visitors along with us had a permanent smiles on our faces, including all the passersby as we walk them. Thank you to Bob who was very helpful and informative throughout the walk. Even our son, who is not normally animal - tactile very happily pet and walk Quno. Brilliant day and company 😉

We had an absolutely amazing visit to the farm this afternoon. The alpacas were gorgeous, gentle and friendly and we loved having the opportunity to meet them up close! Our two year old son was in his element, and loved being able to feed them. We enjoyed learning more about the alpacas, and it was evident that they are very well loved! All in all a lovely afternoon and we would love to come back to visit soon! Thank you! Very much recommended!

User

We had a great time meeting the Alpacas and taking some of them for a walk. They really do have their own personalities and Bob and Cath were great hosts. Highly recommend this for a different walk in the Pentlands

We had a great afternoon walking alpacas at the beautiful farm just outside of Edinburgh. At the beginning, Bob, the owner of the farm, introduces all the alpacas and gives a brief description of each alpaca's personality. After that, everyone picks an alpaca to walk and the small group sets off on a 1 mile loop through the foothills. The alpacas graze and take breaks to roll in the dirt along the way. The personality of each alpaca becomes apparent, some insist on leading, others are content to follow the pack. I walked Amadeus, while my wife and 4 year old son walked Amadeus's friend, Eureka. Aside from the fun of walking alcapas, the hiking trail is lovely. It was a great day out and a completely unique experience. We were staying in Edinburgh and were easily able to take the number 10 bus to the farm.

Utterly delightful. Bob and Cat are relaxed, calm and serenely thoughtful hosts. They beautifully judge their audience and tailor their informative Alpaca chat to suit. When faced with 9 very excited children they batted not one eyelid. Neither did the Alpacas who were, everyone, complete gentlemen. Bob and Cat spent their time disentangling leads, proffering encouragement, managing dog/Alpaca encounters and calmly leading us all out onto the gentle tracks at Bonaly. We lucked out with clear skies, no wind and beautiful views of Edinburgh (Castle, Arthur’s Seat).

We were a birthday party and they had laid on balloons and banners.

When my husband’s badly timed ‘flu blossomed, they were provide water and simple shelter and even rustled up paracetamol. When a child got a scrape they had plasters.

Absolutely brilliant experience for anyone - unless they are developing ‘flu.

Unmissable stop if you love animals, nature, beautiful panoramas and kind people! My husband took here for our anniversary and Bob the owner was super accommodating and friendly. The alpacas are so cute and sweet! We will be back for a walk with the alpacas very soon. Thanks Bob!

User

This was I think one of the highlights of my trip to Edinburgh. Bobs love and passion for his alpacas is infectious and through the 1.5-2 hour walk you will learn more about alpacas in general and see so much of their individual personalities and you will fall in love with them.

This experience is a MUST if you are able to get there then do you will not regret going.

One of the best afternoons I’ve spent! Bob loves his herd and knows each one. It was great to learn so much about the animals and their personalities and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting and walking Apollo! He was very sweet, cuddly and didn’t mind me warming my hands in his fleece. He’s also expert at selfies! A wonderful time out for anyone!

User

Loved the day from start to finish. Bob and Cath clearly care about their furry friends and know their individual personalities well, the introduction at the start proves it and it is a great way to pick which suits you. The animals are lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend you try it!

User

Alpaca walk was part of my birthday and I loved it! I walked Milo who was very entertaining and kept me on my toes will definitely be back was a great experience walking them and feeding them all!

User

Almost 11months after I received my Alpaca Walk Christmas present my daughter and I finally got there. And it was so worth the wait. We had an Alpaca each, Ambrose and Artemis and they walked happily with us across the hills and back to the farm. It was just perfect. They are harmless, gentle creatures, granted not with the highest IQ but that made them even more adorable. Bob told us so much about them and their ways. Loved every second. Highly recommend
