Bo'Ness And Kinneil Railway
Reviews
Great range of old locomotives kept in great condition. Would recommend a visit.
Brilliant place with loads to see. Hadn't been for a while but need to visit more often. Recommended for all ages.
A fantastic day out with all the family. Plenty to do and see. Kids loved it, especially seeing Thomas the tank engine.
Very nice heritage railway. Reasonably priced cafe for museum with basic menu. Train ride takes about a hour and half. Most days the tickets you can get on and of as many times as you like event days single trip only. Normally only one locomotive working and Russian roulette to which locomotive you get. This visit a colliery type tank engine. Transport museum extra cost option £2 with train ticket.
Great family day out. Always a pleasant step back in time. Cafe serves good food. Staff friendly and helpful.
Take my son regularly to see the trains he loves it, he wont ride the train yet, but in time we'll get him on it! He was in utter amazement when he saw Thomas was there last weekend and his face when the train went under the bridge was a look of utter joy!!
The station itself is set in a time gone by, has a great little museum of train related stuff and a model railway thats a joy to watch, you get great views of the river forth and on a nice sunny day its nice to walk along the river, to Blackness Castle.
Great day went on a Diesel Operated Train but yes had a great day 😎
Well I use to go here and I love it always want to come back again
Thank you for a nice day out with a party of 16 senior citizens from South Lanarkshire. Everybody enjoyed the visit. The only criticism is the access to the excellent Museum which cannot be reached by road and is most certainly not disabled friendly. This prevented a number of the group from gaining access.
