Our new back to basic pod has just opened. This gives a stripped back Glamping experience. Situated on the banks of the river with views down the valley. The pod comes with a private shower and toilet next to the pod.

Glamping Hut opening Spring 2016

We've stayed in lodges before, but this is our first experience of Glamping, and they've set the standard high. Pam & Tom (and Chip the dog) made it feel very welcoming.



The cabin itself was everything we were expecting: small and cozy with all the basic essentials. The decking outside was a lovely place to sit and admire the scenery (when it wasn't raining) and the stars (when the skies were clear). It's situated a short distance away from the farmhouse itself, so still feels secluded.



The cabin has it's own private toilet/shower facilities, but these are situated in the farm buildings a short walk away. Remember to take a torch, as the walk is pitch dark in the middle of the night.



Breakfast is, quite frankly, amazing. We would highly recommend having it at least one morning. It's up to four courses, you certainly won't be feeling like you need lunch!



We had a couple of minor issues with the Wood Burner: The first few days were fine, but a couple of times it started backing up, sending smoke into the Cabin. Tom was quick to come over and help resolve the problem.



It's located in the middle of the countryside, but within a short drive of various sights (e.g. Kielder Observatory, walking trails) and Amenities



In short, a high standard of accommodation, for a very reasonable price. We intend to come back and stay again.

We will defintely be back if you'll have us. The "hut" was perfect and we've never slept so well. The hosts are welcoming and on hand if you need anything but unintrusive so you can just potter on and do your own thing without feeling like you're disturbing anyone or in fact being disturbed.

We couldn't have asked for more a beautiful setting and we were perfectly situated for trips out over the borders. Will recommend you to everyone we know :) thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a fantastic stay- the accommodation was superb! Cosy, clean and well maintained. I would strongly recommend it to others as everything was provided at a reasonable price, literally the only stuff my partner and I had to bring was food and towels. We never got to use the wood burning stove but it was warm enough that it wasn't required. The views from the accommodation were spectacular and it was extremely quiet, as the it is a very rural working farm.

Utterly gorgeous part of the world, hidden gem with stunning views and fantastic river walks. We have stayed in the B&B several times and Pam and Tom are perfect hosts... they offer the best breakfast we have ever eaten, we can't wait to get back and try a little bit of Glamping at Borders Glamping where we know a warm welcome will await us xox

Just got back from Bordering basic glamping pod. Absolutely LOVED it. Really cut off from everyone and secluded. Newcastleton is the local village with a coffee shop/cafe that does food and local shop spa for supplies. Also not far from forest walks and half an hour from kielder just make sure to pack wellies and rain gear as it was on and off rain.

It was our first time glamping and certainly won't be the last. From start to finish we were very kindly greeted by Pam and Tom.



The glamping hut itself was so comfortable and offered everything you would need for the experience.



The view from the decking area was phenomenal on sunset.



This place is highly recommended for any couple wanting to get away.

Had a great weekend! Back to basics camping hut was perfect! Breakfast in the morning was very tasty and Pam and Tom were very friendly. Dog also loved it! Some great walks and scenery. Excellent for fishing too, if that's your thing �

Fantastic weekend away in the glamping pod. The facilities were brilliant and the pod was warm and comfy. Looking out towards the fields, we felt like we could have been in the only people in the world. It was just perfect, and made even better by getting engaged right on the decking in front of the pod with the fire roaring in the background! We will certainly be coming back soon. Thank you for helping to make it such a memorable weekend.

Fantastic stay at Flatt Farm, The Hut is great and has everything you need for a weekend away (with or without kids). Our kids had a brilliant time and have now adopted Spot, Precious and Lonely (the pet lambs) and can't wait to come back and see them. 5 Star Service. Thanks again and see you in a couple of months.
