About Borders Scrapstore

We are registered as a charity in Scotland (SC020023)

Borders Scrapstore Description

Everyone is welcome to come along and see what we have. Our small annual membership fee - for example, just £7 for an individual, or £10 for a group of up to 25 users, helps with our increasing costs. We also charge small amounts for our salvaged materials and carry an increasing range of new art and craft supplies.

We receive grant support from a number of local authorities - Scottish Borders Council, East Lothian Council and West Lothian Council - and try to make the rest of our running costs through increased trading. Thanks to everyone who supports us, not least our voluntary management committee and store helpers, and all the companies and individuals who donate materials.

Just a quick reminder; the last BIG SATURDAY SALE of the year is on at the SELKIRK SCRAPSTORE, Shepherd's Mill, TD7 5NY, this Saturday 17th November, 10am to 2pm. We have an amazing range of stuff in at the moment, and the weather is set fair for Satuday at least, so we'll have mountains of stuff out in the car park, lots of clearance materials of all sorts, Christmas bargains, and anything else we can lay our hands on. The plywood discs are back, there's 2ply Shetland wool ...black, on 825g cones, fancy stuffing for fake snow, festive felt packs, buttons, beads and just about everything you can imagine. We now have a limited range of acrylic paints, fabric paints and metallic paint, and our new range of double-sided tape in 5 widths. Here are photos of just a few of the things you can find on Saturday, there's much much more to choose from. Cash and cheques only please, or we can invoice established account holders, so it's a good chance for groups to come along and get stocked for the weeks ahead. We'll have plenty of helpers on hand, but do be patient, everyone is volunteering on the day and we'll all do our best to keep things moving. We'll spend the next couple of days getting everything ready, and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

We still have plenty of our extra-cheap ribbon, just £1.50 for full 100 metre rolls, lots of decorative card,... stamps and a huge range of general craft supplies at knock-down prices. There will be grip-seal bags from just £1.10/100, bubblewrap, only £23/100m, and our expanding range of new materials; paints, card, felt-tips: the shelves will be full. Buttons, beads and bows, and we'll have some festive stuff out too, glitter, glitter paint, sparkly poms and much more. This is an open day, so everyone is welcome; cash and cheques only please, or we can invoice established account holders, so it's a great chance for nursery/school staff to come along when you've got a bit more time. I'll put up more details next week, meanwhile we'll pack the store from top to bottom and hope the weather plays ball.
