Xmas Dance - Saturday 15th December 2018 ===================================
Once again, we are proud to launch the Club's Xmas Dance to be held on Saturday 15th December 2018.
... Last year was a sell out, this year we expect to sell out of tickets quickly with the Solo Artist performer being known as 'The Blue Doll - Bonnie McCallum'.
Bonnie McCallum is a professional female vocalist, session singer & collaborator artist with well over 25 years experience singing in bands through out the UK. Also a solo entertainer singing in clubs, bars, hotels, private parties etc...
As an underground blues singer bonnie is known to friends & family as 'The Blues Doll' or 'The Voice'. Bonnie was brought up in Easterhouse, Glasgow, & started singing at a very young age, she now has over 25 years experience singing but her first major shot at music was singing in Blues/Rock bands as a backing singer with Glasgow band 'BIG MOUTH' until she became a lead singer in a band called 'KICKING STONE'.

Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come first served basis, due to the popularity of this event and with the huge success of the last social night, tickets must be paid in full upon reservation. All lead names will then receive an email from 'Rachael - Events Manager' to take all pre-orders for the meals and provide any further details.

34th Pro-Am At Bothwell Castle Golf Club.
Another great event, sell out with 40 teams entered, great scoring with the leading professional score being 63 and the winning team score being an amazing 17 under par by the very first group... Next year they must go out last so the remainder of the field think they have a chance for some of the day!

Continued project work at Bothwell Castle Golf club:
Stewart and team tackling the worst of the bunkers that remain to be re-shaped in the future but for immediate improvement for this season the team have edged away the over hang and re-distributed the sand across the bunker at the left hand bunker on the 5th hole.

All the old bunkers are being edged and sand being redistributed.

The entire right side of the rough now with new drainage being installed all way up level with the green.

Hundreds of meters worth of drainage work being completed this week in the rough at the 15th Hole.
The work is being headed up by Euan, leading the team of Luke, Cameron and Colin.

1st stage- removal of the tree stumps
2nd stage - top up all the wood chip
... 3rd stage - large rocks weighing in around 1 tonne each all supplied and delivered by Patersons Quarries Ltd - Patersons of Greenoakhill Ltd
4th stage - arrange for the placement of the stones all facing certain directions for later plans....

Fantastic course

Played in yesterday's annual pro am. I've played in the pro am at least 15 times and I think this year was the best I've seen the course. Fairways and greens were in beautiful condition. The food was also fantastic. Always made very welcome at Bothwell Castle and look forward to returning for many more years to come. Great venue 👍👍

Played for the first time yesterday, I must say the staff at the clubhouse and in the Pro shop made us feel very welcome. The course was in great condition, with only a few exceptions due to the recent wet weather. Overall a great venue to play a cracking game.

One of my favourite courses in Scotland. Friendly atmosphere & a testing course for every handicap. Bar & restaurant is also excellent. Can't go wrong here & price per round is reasonable.

Loved the welcome at the plush Clubhouse ! Had a lovely meal before tee off ! The course was magnificent ! Yeah really impressed !

Had a outing here yesterday 24 guys from St. Andrews bar & each & every 1 of them loved the course,the food,the hospitality & thought it great value for the money we paid,course is in excellent condition. We'll b back.

Had a great outing made to feel welcome by staff and members alike. The course was in great condition a big well done to the green staff. A big thanks to all at the club.
