Great food, brilliant staff and a good atmosphere

Most impressed. The food is lovely, the setting and service match and in my opinion offer good value. So good we visited twice and would return given half a chance.

Nice interior with friendly staff. Nice selection of beers and whisky. I was a bit disappointed with the cullen skink but dinner is usually quite good.

Food took a Very long time to arrive. Starter portions are tiny and overpriced. Standard of food is good.

Came highly recommended from a friend, so I went for dinner on Friday & I must say that the food was not great at all, waiting staff did not bother to ask how my food was. Would not recommend this place to anyone & will definitely not be returning.
Worst experience in a long time.

I visited today with my sister for an impromptu lunch. We had the sandwiches which were delicious. The service was great but I must say although the young lady that served us was lovely - her purple kilt (uniform) was in a terrible mess. It looked grubby, tatty, worn, snagged and terribly unkempt. Only a small observation - just not what we expected to see in an establishment like the Borthy.

Mid- price menu with a good selection. Staff are friendly and the food is carefully made and presented. Any time I've eaten here, I've always enjoyed my meal. Nice ambiance.
