Best club in Edinburgh, great drinks prices and always a good atmosphere no matter what night you go on.

Fantastic club! Always busy and still manages to stay spacious as there are 3 large rooms so it does not feel cramped. Music is great and drink prices are very affordable, amazing for students:)

On Monday night, myself and 4 other female friends went to bourbon for a night out. We were dropped at the front door by the taxi and immediately were approached by two extremely rude members of the door staff. We were told to move and when we tried to explain that we had booked a table and were waiting on more friends joining us, the door staff became very abusive. We were told our table was full, even though they didn't take our name or details, and they laughed as they swore and told us they decided who got in for the table.

Very negative experience for us and will not be returning to bourbon because of it. would advise all to stick to other clubs in new town, such as whynot, as the staff actually know how to interact with customers.

I have heard lots of negative comments about the door staff here and it is clear a lot of other students are choosing not to go to bourbon because of this.

Reconsider staff!

Hello,

I was pressured out of the bourbon night club tonight. I had to ask the staff on door numerous times *why* I was forced out during which time I was harrassed, pushed and shoved violently before I left the two staff members who I had tried to inquire on alone. Although the two 'bouncers' responsible would also refuse to tell me their names (so conveniently I cannot complain about them directly) it was the bald and bearded bouncers on duty tonight that violently 'convinced' me to leave them alone.

While it is understandably their right to refuse entry to any customer I do not believe that the harassment and prejudice I was subject to was justified tonight. I hope the management proves to keep a tighter leash on the staff it hires, especially the two involved in bullying me so tonight.

I have been warned previously by friends about the injustice of the bouncers at this establishment and hope that it takes measures eventually in dealing with these, and until then there are many safer options of friendly nightclubs in the city to attend. Why not and other such George street clubs recommended.

P.s. Having looked at other feedback it seems many people are misguided. It seems the bouncers are prejudiced, the crowd is much smaller than expected and even if you are admitted entry by the abusive doormen you will likely grow bored. It makes much make sense to simply forget this venue and find another where your night will be be free.

Would be great if drakes ugly puss wasn't on every tv in the whole building on repeat

Amazing! Best club in edinburgh! Drink prices cheapest on george street while still selling premium products!

Music is great, but both times I've been the venue has been incredibly full and incredibly hot because of this. They should place more air-conditioning units around the main dance floor. Also the entry price is quite steep. Otherwise it's probably my favourite club in the George Street area

Bao buns are good but small. The fries and slaw are great! Drinks look fab!

Myself and my friend were going to go here as part of a night out. We didn't get through the door because we were apparently dressed too casual. With me wearing black jeans, a shirt and my coat (because it was freezing) and my mate wearing chinos and a smart jumper. Upon further asking of why we were not allowed in - the bouncer said "its because you have headphones on". Headphones can be put away into a pocket...

Myself and my friend are slightly bigger guys. One has to wonder if the bouncer didn't want us in because of that? That would be silly speculation. We naturally went to another place instead. My experience with the door staff was not great and will never be a place i intend to go back to.

This place is amazing for food , a few drinks ,or a great night in one of its club rooms

Music wasn't great and wee camera man told me to stop touching the lights (I do not recall touching any lights) which changed my mood of the evening. Stick to taking photos!!
