Bowhouse

About Bowhouse

Bowhouse is a place where food makers work to make their products from the wonderful raw ingredients of the East Neuk and its coast. We hold regular food makers' markets where customers can meet the producers and taste their food.

Bowhouse Description

Bowhouse is a place for making – making food by transforming raw ingredients from the East Neuk's farms and waters into finished products ready for customers locally and further afield. Bowhouse replaces a missing link in the food chain from farmer to consumer by providing dedicated space for producers to operate in. It also has a large, covered market and event space where customers can meet producers and growers and taste their food.

We were delighted to help St Andrews University students raise funds by hosting the 2019 Don’t Walk Fashion Show at Bowhouse last night. Money raised by the show this year goes to; Families First St Andrews and The Robin Hood Foundation. The student committee and an army of event staff are turning Bowhouse around in time for this weekend's food market. Funds from the event enable Bowhouse to support other local events such as the St Monans Sea Queen, which takes place on 15th June. We are proud to help generate income for these good causes and apologise for the noise! DONT WALK Charity Fashion Show

What a great idea, an indoor farmers market. A great selection of stalls and produce from around Scotland. The music in the back hall was good, the beer was cold and the food was plentiful. So good I went both days, roll on December

User

What a great idea - perfect for friends to meet up, have a drink and bite to eat and buy some quality produce. Live music was great and the place was buzzing. Well done and looking forward to the next market.

User

Just walked from Cellardyke to Bowhouse and back. It was definitely worth a visit with all the variety of food & drink on offer. Very impressed. Well done to all at Balcaskie for turning it into a great venue!

User

It was such a lovely day out on Sunday, loads of really nice stalls, and also in the food hall a wide variety , and the music was good.

Well organised , parking was good, and a love idea to have the drums with the logs burning in them really warm.

Would definitely come back ..👍👍

Great variety of stall holders come to the markets here. Good quality produce whether food or products to be had. Plenty of room for parking. Disabled friendly. There is a doggy daycare available so you can wander around. Plenty of food and drinks vendors also

User

Great selection of stalls, yummy street food, good beer a live music, what more could you want...

User

Found this event on a friends FB page otherwise I wouldn't have known about it. It may have taken a wee while to get here from Edinburgh on a really dreich day, but boy was it worth it! As we walked in I knew immediately that Iain Spink and his smokies were in residence from the hint of smoke in the air. There was an excellent choice of street food, a great mix of producers and craft makers, coffee vendors, beers, prosecco, local fruit and veg, breads, chocolate, flavoured salts, cheese, oil, cookery demos and plenty of seating. And the big plus - it's all undercover. Congratulations to Toby and his magnificent team for an extremely well organised event. I, for one, can't wait for the next one!

User

Extremely well organised event. From initial supervised parking and dog creche (which we didn't use) - leading into spacious sales, family and eating areas. Lots of exciting products to sample and buy. Only negative from a purely personal perspective was the over-abundance of gin sellers and the absence of any local whisky producers.

Overall though 10 out of 10. Well done to all. We will return and gladly recommend the Bowhouse experience to family and friends.
