I have been only at the restaurant but still was impresed by the quality. Realy great food. An impresive collection of 300 botles of whiskey and very nice waiters.
We had some lovely meals here. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant while in the area
Nice, comfortable log cabins. In need of a refurbishment as some simple things have been let slide. Similar feedback from other guests in the other lodges. Little things, but they add up. EG no light in fridge, shower head broken, clothes dryer broken, not enough plates/cutlery, light bulbs too weak etc
Loved our stay! Great hosts, beautiful building, in a neat little town. We enjoyed a great breakfast and appreciated the dinner recommendation down the street.
I stayed in the bunkhouse/hostel. All facilities very good. Kitchen has modern appliances and is well-equipped. Very good shower, comfortable bed, and new bedding is provided each day. Felt very safe and secure and excellent location. All staff were welcoming and helpful, and the restaurant was very good too. A great base to explore the Cairngorms. Check out the local history tour of Braemar run by local history society if you can.
Very strange, we went for a drink with the possibility after browsing the menu to have a meal, to be told we couldn't have a drink if not staying or eatiing, first time ever, so picked up our stuff and left!!

Good Scottish-themed menu selection. Quick service and nice starters arrived promptly. Main meal served quickly, however all three of our stakes, which were requested medium, arrived well done. Mains were reduced to half price when we complained, which after the fact is the best we could expect. Drinks were expensive, £17 for a whisky and 2 G&T's but the atmosphere was very pleasant and helped compensate.
