I have taken my rabbits to Braid Vets twice now, and have received very poor service on both occasions, from different vets.
My most recent visit was the worst one. I brought my rabbit in with what seemed to be an eye infection. The vet put green drops in his eyes to detect if there was any damage to the cornea. She said there was no damage, and gave me some drops for infection. I asked her to examine his teeth to rule out any relation to dental problems. The vet responded that she could try, but that the rabbit probably wouldn't let her. She tried, and he obviously squirmed because he was not restrained, so she said she wouldn't be able to check because he was wriggling.
When I took him home, the green drops had accumulated in the cornea in both eyes. I didn't know what this meant and thought it was normal.
The eye infection returned after using the drops she gave me, which led me to think it was a greater problem than an infection. We took him to a vet on Dundas street, who was so helpful. She checked his teeth and ruled out any problems there. She did the same with the green drops and identified that our rabbit has eye ulcers (the vet I saw at Braid Vets had not picked this up). They kept him in for their more senior vet to review. They took dental scans and flushed his tear ducts. They gave us two different types of drops to clear up the ulcers, and the whole appointment (plus accommodation for the day) cost less than my ten minute consult at Braid Vets! Needless to say, I will not be returning to Braid Vets ever again and am very disappointed in their service.

Very nice with my cat. Friendly. Easy to get an appointment. Knowledgeable.

Had my dog in with a bad limp, was told an xray would check what it was so I gladly went with that just to rule out anything serious. She was in for the day and I got her later on that night, she was terrified of the vet when i got her and cried with her head down the sofa for 2 full days. I've spoken to many people about it and nobody knows any reason she would be in that much pain from such a standard procedure. She had an xray somewhere else last week and came out completely fine and not even a whimper.. which is why im making a point to post this now. It makes me feel that they must have been very rough with her.

Also the receptionist had no idea about direct insurance claims so everytime I was there it was a battle for money and I had to pay each time and claim the money back myself after. Was a complete joke and they showed no empathy towards my situation. Surely a receptionist at a vets should understand the only 2 ways of sorting payments at the vets?

I've been with these guys for a year now with my cat - they're always helpful, friendly and kind. When my cat was very poorly recently they really but me at ease and looked after him really well. The vets, nurses and receptionists are all very knowledgeable and helpful and really make you feel like no question is a silly one.

All the staff are helpful and friendly here. I've always had a good experience with my cats when visiting (not sure they'd agree but that's more that they don't like their vaccines!) The vets and nurses are great with animals, which should go without saying but I've been to other surgeries where I'm not so sure!

Such a great and convenient little surgery. The staff are lovely and really care about the animals. We have had such great treatment there.
