A great site and staff that nothing is never to much a great place to stay when visiting Gretna and the wedding village

Nice little place...lovely lady checks you in but too quiet for me and not much to do in Gretna

User

Nice wee site, very nice welcome from helpful staff, showers hot and powerful, although needs updated a bit, but would come again.👍

Nice basic caravan park right on the border with England! Decent facilities and a fair price! All in all a very good experience and very well situated.

User

Lovely site. Peaceful except the hotel next door when has a function but done by 12. Lovely pleasant staff. Helpful . The toilets and shower are clean little dated but do the job. Good location to travel from too. Would 're visit . Thank you everyone .

I've been coming to this site for over 40 years
But this is the last visit the fees are very expensive @ £21 a night,it hasn't got great views or any other attraction it is not quiet lots of road noise
For that sort of money you could stay b&b somewhere or for a bit extra stay at a travelodge
Gets quite a bit of noise from hotel next door when there is a function on,but this is not too much of a bother as it doesn't last for long
I cannot understand why it is so expensive, they even charge 20 p for the showers where as every where else has free showers included in the price
Maybe because ite near the border they think they can charge what they like, which they can but not from me again
The site is tidy and well maintained so there is no issue to complain about,
Staff are friendly and helpful and attentive
But sorry one customer now looking elsewhere

Further to the above comment
Having been quite aggressively confronted by the owners this morning I would like to add the following
Leaving aside the sarcastic comment in their reply that I must have been there 40 years ago
Which is funny because I probably was,the owner then was an ex lorry driver who used to drive to Guildford which is near to me
He owned an Austin 7 which he drove up and down the site
As for the staff not knowing me I'm not surprised as I don't know them either a pointless remark
I was there in September 2014 and most previous years as well
I stand by my comments and will take the advice given by the female owner maybe not to go there again
I understand overheads and bills but it is still expensive contrast that site with the one I'm currently staying at
Inveraray caravan site excellent facilities same as braids but a spectacular view across the loch @£15 a night

On arrival at the site we were greeted warmly and was told to pick a space due to the time of year (November) and was given a list of do's and don'ts. Unfortunately you are only able to use 10 amps (very outdated and old). On setting up and plugging into the electrics we blew the circuit breaker. This was fixed efficiently by staff. Through the night the circuit breaker blew again. We woke up freezing due to the time of year. When speaking to staff they advised that running the water heater and the vans internal electric heating would have caused this - over 10 amp output. With todays modern vans you would expect a site to be able to cope with vans capabilities. Very disappointed with the site but the staff were very helpful

I stayed here as a stop over. Very friendly man Couldn't help enough. Great amenities, nice layout of pitches. All around exactly what we needed. Will stay here each year on our way back from Scotland. Thank you.
