Tonight, we are open from 8PM-3AM with an end-of-year set from Nasty P, who has had a big year himself (opening for Beyoncé & Jay Z on their tour) so we expect this one could be a great celebration of the year’s end. No reservations, casual like, just drop by. Have a Happy Hogmanay to all of our customers, staff, suppliers, neighbours, peers & pals. Have a fun (and safe) eve.

Next Thursday, November 15th, we turn 12. As it is the depths of dark November in Edinburgh, we've decided to lighten up, disco drinks style. Manager Mike Lynch may well be making neon shotz, and the team is making tropical drinks like coconut sorbet Grasshoppers, (Lucky Coconut, Lucky Banana, and Lucky "Midori-ish" Liqueurs all feature on this fun-times menu), and we have OG Bramble DJ Scottieboy spinning on the decks. Lighten up, get down.

We are celebrating Old Fashioned Week with a Woodford Reserve special menu including autumnal ingredients like walnut & banana & date syrups and caramel agave. We have been putting on DJs on weekends for over 10 years in Edinburgh. If you hadn't heard that info before, it may be because we seem to never get listed in local listings, despite trying. This makes us remiss, as hiphop fans may not know there is a dedicated hiphop spot, with some of the brightest and freshest DJs Scotland has to offer, playing live-sets.
If this is news to you, further info: there is no cover, there is no need to make reservations, DJ's play from 9-1AM. Our bar opens at 4PM. We rely on word of mouth, so do a good deed and let a hiphop fan know about this rota.

positives: everything else. I had the bramble and black and yellow- both were excellent. great music, decor was awesome, atmosphere fun and staff was kind. also love that the entrance is easy to miss!

This has everything you want from a cocktail bar: you walk in, ask the bar-tender for a classic cocktail like a Last Word or a Sidecar, and he just goes right ahead and makes the best version of that cocktail you've ever tasted. No fuss, no 'what's in that?' or 'let me make you my special twist on that' or 'but that one isn't in the menu'. The cocktail. The BEST version of that cocktail possible. I was only in Edinburgh for a few days. I returned here three times. If I could pick this bar up and transport it next door to my own home, I'd never leave it ever again.

So far one of the best places I have visited ,talk about the cocktails wow amazing �not forgetting great music ,I had an amazing time and would certainly go back

Really loved everything we drank and wanted to come back but ran out of time on this trip. Wished I'd bought an Affinity to take home. Mainly drank gin cocktails, lovely knowledgeable friendly barman. Can't wait to come back!

My favourite bar in the capital. Unbelievable skill and finesse displayed by bar staff with unforced smiles on their faces. Excellent knowledge and customer service. Did I mention the cocktails are made to perfection and are truly inspired. The only thing I would change about this bar is its location. I think they should seriously considering moving it to Glasgow and if they do I should have a few drinks on the house for coming up with the idea. Thanks.

Brilliant little find..Basement bar that looked like a cave, not very big but cosy and clean even candles in toilets.. Served at table by very attentive staff, all guys..Cocktails were professionally made with care and attention to detail..Will deffo be back...
