Huge thanks to four of our fantastic supporters – Tracy MacInnes, Angela Roxburgh, Rachel Campbell and Brenda Milne – who have raised an amazing £2,030 for Breast Cancer Now!
The four friends from Pitmedden raised the money through hosting a race night and disco, and they also took part in a Half Full Monty.
You can read all about their brilliant fundraiser in the Ellon Times: https://www.ellontimes.co.uk/…/pitmedde n-mums-raise-2k-for-…

Have you taken the drug Perjeta as a neoadjuvant (before surgery) treatment? Your experience could help shape our response to the assessment of this treatment in Scotland.
The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) is currently appraising the drug Perjeta, also known as pertuzumab in combination with trastuzumab (Herceptin) and chemotherapy for treatment before surgery. This is for patients with HER2 positive, locally advanced, inflammatory or early stage breast cancer at high... risk of recurrence.
We want to hear from people who have received Perjeta for neoadjuvant treatment, to help shape what we say to the SMC about this drug.
If you can help, please get in touch with us and tell us your story ▸ http://bit.ly/2D1Ze2n

📰 PERJETA NOW UPDATE!
Today marks a big milestone for our Perjeta Now campaign. Drug manufacturer Roche has resubmitted now Perjeta to the Scottish Medicines Consortium for use on Scotland's NHS.
Fiona Hazell, Director of Policy and Engagement at Breast Cancer Now, said: “The resubmission of Perjeta is a promising step forward for patients and a really significant milestone for our Perjeta Now campaign. But the campaign is far from finished. It is totally unacceptable that S...cottish women with HER 2-positive incurable breast cancer still cannot routinely access this drug, despite it being available in other parts of the UK."
We're nearly there but we still need your help. We must now convince the SMC that Perjeta should be available to women in Scotland on the NHS - as it is in England and Wales.
A huge thank you to everyone who has already signed our petition - please do continue to help us and share this post! If you haven't already done so then please sign our petition today. Your signature will make a big difference to women who need this life-changing drug.

We're still looking for media and social media case studies to help us make life-changing drug Perjeta available in Scotland.
Can you help us? Tell us your story at: http://breastcancernow.org/about-us/tell- us-your-story

Will you join Jen?
Over 8,800 people have signed our Perjeta Now petition and we’ve convinced drug company Roche to make a fresh application to the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC). But we now need to make sure that all sides reach a deal quickly.
... Real-life stories are so powerful and it’s what our campaign needs to end this injustice once and for all.
We’re looking for women, and their families, to talk about what gaining access to perjeta would mean to them or a loved one. Like campaigner Jen, your story might be shared on social media, or it could be in the media.
There’s no obligation, if you would like to find out more please comment below or complete this short form: http://breastcancernow.org/about-us/tell- us-your-story

A big thank you to the Oldmeldrum Breast Cancer Now fundraising group who have raised over £2,500 for the charity from their royal wedding after party in May.
Party goers enjoyed an afternoon tea in Oldmeldrum Legion in celebration of the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
There was also a selection of 'wedding cakes' to enjoy while watching the newly-weds on a large screen at the front of the hall. The group also organised a prize for the best headpiece and a raf...fle too.
