Very comfortable and homely place to eat. Good food and even better prices. We're regular visitors.

All you can eat curry might was fantastic. Warm atmosphere too

Okay, but like the Travelod... sorry, Premier Inn next door, nothing special. Staff were friendly and the service prompt, but the beer I had tasted distinctly average and the batter on my haddock was soggy.

Fearing a similar experience in the morning, I went to the nearby Morrisons store for a Wee Scottish Breakfast, which was very good value.

Service and food good for a chain pub. Very friendly and helpful staff. Toilets were disgusting however. Had I been there first before ordering I probably wouldn't have stayed....

Staff were really nice very helpful. Food was disappointing

The bad bit: over half of our meals (3) came out burnt and over cooked, and one of the meals was served completely differently than what was ordered and on our receipt!

The good: the management reacted when we complained and replaced one meal and provided a refund for some of the other meals which were black/burnt.

Waiting service was mediocre and largely uninterested, and looked to be stretched as it was very busy. Several tables next to our table also complained about their various meals - so maybe it was just a bad night for the Malt n Myre.

Great shame as Brewers Fayre is usually a. Rand we can rely on.

Stopped off for an early dinner on the way home. Was easy to get a table even though never booked. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was well prepared, tasted great and served quickly (essential when you have a hungry child). As usual with a Brewers Fayre the food options and menus are value for money.

We have been regular diners here as we live locally and have had good experiences in the past. Tonight however we were very disappointed. When we arrived that there was not a full range of soft drinks available. We ordered our drinks and we're waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. When they did and we went to the bar to order food we were informed that there was an hour and a half wait for food. I queried this with the manager. I was told that they had a booking of 30 persons and another one of 9 persons expected. Why did they not say this when we ordered drinks?? Surely a professional restaurant can cope with an expected party and arrange for extra staff if needed so that the regular customers can be accommodated.

We went to this pub on Fri 3 March as a stop over on way to Skye. We got to the pub at about 6.30pm and ordered food at the bar. The food turned up after about 5 minutes and was hot and satisfactory. We patiently waited for our main when the waitress came over to advised that they didn't have boiled potatoes and offered me alternatives of mash, chips or sweet potato fries - I opted of mash. So we waited and waited and waited after about 40 minutes we started to get fed up. I called the waiter over and he said he would check. Off he toddled and came back about 10 minutes later to say it was being plated up and we would be next - all well and good you may think. Noooo he was then seen service two other tables!!! At this point I went to the bar to cancel our food and had to wait again. I then pounced on the waitress and told her to cancel the food as we had gone past the point of wanting to eat it. She went off and I was then told that the manager would come to see me - no manager came but the waitress returned with a refund for our meals and then advised that she had had a really bad day. It also transpired that other people had complained too. It appears that there is a problem somewhere along the line - if we had been told of the situation during our wait the outcome may have been different. You may have a satisfactory experience but we certainly didn't.

Ordered the mixed grill, took 30 minutes to get to us. Steak was tough as old boots, chicken had a texture that I haven't experienced before. Fried eggs were solid and the peas were almost gray looking. Would of sent it back but we were on an hours lunch break and didn't have time to wait for it. I understand that it's not a 5 star restaurant but I would of expected better than that considering the place wasn't busy at all. Overall very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Decent food at a decent price

Asked staff for a plain burger, then specified everything I wouldn't like on the burger and when it came out it was covered in onions and coleslaw. My parter ordered the chicken tika curry which was covered in what smelt like off yogurt. We informed the staff of all the issues we had and all we got was "Aw." when first approaching our table she shouted "ur yous done aye?" from across the room. We are currently still waiting to be told how we actually pay and have been for the past 25 minutes...They only seem to pay attention to your table if you order sides or deserts. Shocking service and disgusting food.
