Brewers Fayre Newhaven Quay

It was lovely, the food was very nice and the staff were very helpful I will definitely go again.

Great food great service and a beautiful experience for me and my wife, definitely come again for the whole experience. Thank you Brewers Fayre.

Not impressed at all. Really gone downhill. We used to come here a lot when my son was wee. Had Brewster Bear birthday parties, the lot. I stopped going a few years ago after our family and friends kept being ill right after eating/playing there. Play area was since done up in the Dennis the Menace style it is now. Heard about problems with mice and poor service since. Visited last night on a whim with my husband and our 2 children, service was slow, there was an exposed pipe and big hole in the ceiling right to side of the kitchen door and opposite where we were sitting. We had to direct a few people away from the table it was over as there were no signs up/area cordoned off. The softplay area was closed for "essential cleaning and maintenance". They brought our meals out then my daughters last which was the wrong food so had to send hers back. Took her to the ladies toilets at the back door, beside the Premier Inn enterance - one toilet out of order and the other had poo smeared on the seat which l had to clean before she could use it as no staff around, floor was sticky and when l turned around l discovered more poo on the back of the door and wall. Disgusting. Wonky taps and a hand dryer that barely worked. My meal contained a salad which had the bottom end of a lettuce stuck in it and my chicken tasted rank. Will not be back again. Get a decent manager & staff in to turn the place around properly or l can't see the place surviving.

Not a good experience, food was cold. No-one came to check on us during main course. I asked for my steak to be medium and it was rare. The starters presentation was poor, chicken wings put on a plate with a dip of bbq sauce, no salad or garnish. Would expect a little bit more especially as its not cheap. The curry night looked boring, no displays. You need to up your game if you want New customers and customers to return. When we were paying we said to the server that we were not happy with the meal and nothing back it's like he didn't care! What is your meal policy? Are you supposed to check on tables to see if all is ok? When people are paying are you not supposed to ask if everything was ok?

Chicken and hamburgers we received were too far over cooked or heated up from night before not nice only good part was dessert which they don’t cook, just heat up or place on plate.

Won't be rushing back has went right down hill now the salt and pepper dishes were all greasy and blocked the table All sticky and for the food was disgusting salad was all warm chicken was like rubber and beef lasanya was hardly any meat in it the. Coffee machine and juice machine was minging thInk place needs a good clean

Once we arrived we were hit with a list of what we couldn't have (not a problem I understand this stuff happens I work in the food industry) so all the table go up to order at same time. All starters came out at diffent times and my partner was sitting for over 10 minutes without his starter during that time the mains started to come out baring in mind no one had even took our starter plates away!! So partners starter came... wrong starter!! Was told it was ok n they would make him what he first ordered which would be fine if we weren't all nearly finished our mains. So he opted not to take a starter then his steak came he asked for medium this steak was black!! No way near medium! Other members in party were not happy either poppadoms were soft and was sent back, jerk chicken skewers were definitely undercooked. As for the waitress who served us her attitude was absolutely stinking. Looking at me as if I was lying when the wrong starter was brought out. Not happy one bit. Money down the drain for food that was very poor! I am a server myself and no way would I recommend this place for food or customer service.

Was here for the first time and honestly won’t be back food was fine apart from mine what was the rib and chicken combo had no taste no1 came and done a check back when the lassie cleared the plates she asked what was wrong with my meal told her and never seen her again after I asked for a refund

Terrible burger tasted like cardboard,mushroom and cheese burger with one small slice of mushroom,poor service just as we were leaving we were asked how food was . When we told them they just said sorry and walked off. I wish I'd read the reviews before spending £40 on such terrible food.

Shocking place! Just moved in across the Road at Newhaven Place. Had visitors and thought would pop over for a quick bite to eat before a delivery of furniture was due at the flat. Walked in and stood at the wait to be seated desk (as instructed by the sign) waited 15 mins without even being acknowledged. Another customer waiting at bar to be attended too but alas no staff members whatsoever to be seen. Had a walk around restaurant and still no staff to be seen. Could have quite literally have walked behind the bar and helped myself to as much stock as we could physically handle and no one would notice. What a disgraceful representation for your company. Hence walked out and ended up having a coffee and snack in the Asda cafe along the road. Would definitely not recommend anyone even bother stepping foot in this place as it is obviously clear customers are not important!

Normally we have a great time there, but yesterday was awful as we ordered cod bites for my 3 year old and as I was cutting them up the fish was actually raw inside. I didn't want to order anything else so got a refund for his meal and had to take him somewhere else to get food. Although the staff couldn't apologise enough I didn't want to take the chance and it's unfortunate that it has put me off coming back.

I was here on Thursday night around 6pm. I ordered my food and when it was time to pay the card machine was taking a few minutes and then declined my payment so we tried this again another 4 times. Once they entered my card details manually ... Still declined. I then checked my bank to see the money had been taken a total of 5 times this being around £215. More than 24 hours later I am still waiting on my money back and no further forward as to when I will actually get my money back. This is a joke and beyond unacceptable. To makes things even better the head office is CLOSED till Monday. I will definately not be back to this place. I would definately tell people to avoid this place just incase this happens to others aswell. The food wasn't exactly the best either to be honest. If I could give it no stars I would!!!!!

Had to leave as there was a mouse running across my table all the staff could advise was moving table and shutting the area off . How they can get away with serving food is beyond me

Even 1 star is too high,terrible service,nasty food(what actually turned up) and I think I aged bye a year between ordering food and actually receiving it.Another customer that won't be rushing back or recommending this place !

Also my colleague tried to order curry at 7:30 and was told he couldn't have it as it finished at 8(alittle confusing) so he had to settle for steak instead (which to be fair he enjoyed) but the whole evenings seem to fall apart there for some reason

Was here for the first time and honestly won’t be back food was fine apart from mine what was the rib and chicken combo had no taste no1 came and done a check back when the lassie cleared the plates she asked what was wrong with my meal told her and never seen her again after I asked for a refund

Terrible burger tasted like cardboard,mushroom and cheese burger with one small slice of mushroom,poor service just as we were leaving we were asked how food was . When we told them they just said sorry and walked off. I wish I'd read the reviews before spending £40 on such terrible food.

Shocking place! Just moved in across the Road at Newhaven Place. Had visitors and thought would pop over for a quick bite to eat before a delivery of furniture was due at the flat. Walked in and stood at the wait to be seated desk (as instructed by the sign) waited 15 mins without even being acknowledged. Another customer waiting at bar to be attended too but alas no staff members whatsoever to be seen. Had a walk around restaurant and still no staff to be seen. Could have quite literally have walked behind the bar and helped myself to as much stock as we could physically handle and no one would notice. What a disgraceful representation for your company. Hence walked out and ended up having a coffee and snack in the Asda cafe along the road. Would definitely not recommend anyone even bother stepping foot in this place as it is obviously clear customers are not important!

When told the waitress she never even took notice that a full meal was being taking away and just looked at me like I was stupid when I told her they where like rubber. Won't return and certainly won't recommend this place

Normally we have a great time there, but yesterday was awful as we ordered cod bites for my 3 year old and as I was cutting them up the fish was actually raw inside. I didn't want to order anything else so got a refund for his meal and had to take him somewhere else to get food. Although the staff couldn't apologise enough I didn't want to take the chance and it's unfortunate that it has put me off coming back.

I was here on Thursday night around 6pm. I ordered my food and when it was time to pay the card machine was taking a few minutes and then declined my payment so we tried this again another 4 times. Once they entered my card details manually ... Still declined. I then checked my bank to see the money had been taken a total of 5 times this being around £215. More than 24 hours later I am still waiting on my money back and no further forward as to when I will actually get my money back. This is a joke and beyond unacceptable. To makes things even better the head office is CLOSED till Monday. I will definately not be back to this place. I would definately tell people to avoid this place just incase this happens to others aswell. The food wasn't exactly the best either to be honest. If I could give it no stars I would!!!!!

Had to leave as there was a mouse running across my table all the staff could advise was moving table and shutting the area off . How they can get away with serving food is beyond me

Even 1 star is too high,terrible service,nasty food(what actually turned up) and I think I aged bye a year between ordering food and actually receiving it.Another customer that won't be rushing back or recommending this place !

Also my colleague tried to order curry at 7:30 and was told he couldn't have it as it finished at 8(alittle confusing) so he had to settle for steak instead (which to be fair he enjoyed) but the whole evenings seem to fall apart there for some reason

It was lovely, the food was very nice and the staff were very helpful I will definitely go again.

I stopped going a few years ago after our family and friends kept being ill right after eating/playing there. Play area was since done up in the Dennis the Menace style it is now. Heard about problems with mice and poor service since. Visited last night on a whim with my husband and our 2 children, service was slow, there was an exposed pipe and big hole in the ceiling right to side of the kitchen door and opposite where we were sitting. We had to direct a few people away from the table it was over as there were no signs up/area cordoned off. The softplay area was closed for "essential cleaning and maintenance". They brought our meals out then my daughters last which was the wrong food so had to send hers back. Took her to the ladies toilets at the back door, beside the Premier Inn enterance - one toilet out of order and the other had poo smeared on the seat which l had to clean before she could use it as no staff around, floor was sticky and when l turned around l discovered more poo on the back of the door and wall. Disgusting. Wonky taps and a hand dryer that barely worked. My meal contained a salad which had the bottom end of a lettuce stuck in it and my chicken tasted rank. Will not be back again. Get a decent manager & staff in to turn the place around properly or l can't see the place surviving.

Are you supposed to check on tables to see if all is ok? When people are paying are you not supposed to ask if everything was ok?

So partners starter came... wrong starter!! Was told it was ok n they would make him what he first ordered which would be fine if we weren't all nearly finished our mains. So he opted not to take a starter then his steak came he asked for medium this steak was black!! No way near medium! Other members in party were not happy either poppadoms were soft and was sent back, jerk chicken skewers were definitely undercooked. As for the waitress who served us her attitude was absolutely stinking. Looking at me as if I was lying when the wrong starter was brought out. Not happy one bit. Money down the drain for food that was very poor! I am a server myself and no way would I recommend this place for food or customer service.
