Attended a wedding. Staff great and drink prices not too outrageous. Very lovely hotel and grounds.

The wife and I visited early for dinner, and were welcomed by a very polite lady who walked us to the restaurant. Our waiter was very polite and the food came at the right times. Great food, hearty but classy portion sizes, for very reasonable prices. The whole place was very clean, even the gardens were free of leaves given its autumn with very strong winds the last few days. Would definitely go again

Where to start: We first came to see the Brig o' Doon House Hotel last year in April, when we were looking for a suitable venue for our August 2017 wedding. We met with Dawn, and, while we were immediately delighted by the lovely welcome, the complimentary tea, and Dawn's overall attitude and helpfulness, it was the ballroom that settled the deal for us: Oh my goodness! You step into the ballroom via a grand second level staircase. The ceiling is decorated with wooden beams and medieval-style chandeliers. At the end of the room, you'll find the magnificent bay window, looking out onto the sparkling river Doon. I cried, my fiance (husband now) just looked at me and agreed.

So that was sorted.

We spent the year that followed sending endless emails (at one point Dawn and I counted 200 in total!) back and forth, going over every single detail. If ever I had a question about an item or a decision, Dawn was there to help. We had an incredible menu tasting meal, and were given the option to create some bespoke dishes for my German family (including a German 'wedding soup', which was delicious!) Dawn even ordered some traditional German beer for us, direct from the German brewery where my grandparents celebrated their wedding 66 years ago.

On the day itself, Dawn and MC Jenny made sure everything went smoothly. We didn't get too lucky with the weather (it was a dry day, but not very sunny), but nobody even noticed because the inside of the hotel is so beautiful.

At the end of the night, when everyone retired to their bedrooms, we came back to the beautifully decorated bridal suite - think fairy lights, candles, and sweets (ok, some of that was my maid of honour, but it was amazingly done!)

Anyway, to summarise all of this: We had an amazing wedding planning journey and wedding. If you're looking for a venue you can 100% trust, who will execute your vision to a T, this is it. The inside of the hotel is stunning, the outside is stunning (I won't even get into the gardens, or I'll be here all day! SO beautiful!) and your guests will be delighted with their accommodation, should they choose to stay. We'll certainly be back for future anniversaries (and any excuse we find in between!) Thank you again Dawn and team!

Staff very friendly bunch of chaps. Food was especially good. I had seafood mixed grill which was perfect. Prices very reasonable considering the 5 star std of premises and food.

We love this place. It is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Scotland. Amazing gardens for guests to walk through. The interior is finished to the highest quality and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is out of this world. If you are going to this venue you will have a great time!

Attended an evening wedding reception here. Very pretty location and the function room was large and beautifully decorated. Service at the bar was efficient, if a little cold.

Attended for an afternoon tea. Unfortunately, the gluten free menu does not come with a scone. Selection and variety of afternoon tea items was ok. Compared to other hotels, this was a fairly standard afternoon tea. Staff were very nice and very attentive to our needs.
