These guys rocked up to smash our breakfast challenge this morning!
What better way to start a Wednesday than an epic breakfast and a cider!
They had 35 minutes on the clock but neither of them had what it takes to finish the monster breakfast before the timer went.
... They both kept going, but even without the time restraint they didn’t manage to finish.

We have our first ever Pop up happening at the end of next week.
Our lead Vegan chef Jonny will be backed up by one of our other chefs Jack as they put on an American themed 8 course spread of Vegan amazingness!
The night will be a BYOB relaxed atmosphere with everyone welcome, the boys will be mixing a little bit of our regular vegan menu in with some one off vegan delights they will be creating just for this pop up.

Why did no-one tell me about this before? Super vegan menu just been introduced but we started with breakfast and took out 2 packets of their amazing vegan square sausage. Great staff, very friendly and helpful (thanks Chloe). We'll definitely be back.

Went in this morning to take advantage of their packs of vegan square sausage being £3 each. Bought 2 packs, got home, fried them up and stuck them in some crispy rolls. WOW! These are scarily good! Officially the best vegan square I’ve tasted. Thank you, I’ll be back!

The separate vegan menu is great. The seitan "steak" pie was delicious. Staff are lovely too.

The Brooklyn Benedict with pulled pork. Amazing! Could eat it again. Lovely staff too. Found my new local on the south side.

The #vegan food was ace! Please continue adding more of it to the menu :)

We got the Mac and cheese and the buffalo wings. Both were awesome! The Oreo milkshake is a defo! We will be back with a few friends!

Service was great and the staff are polite and friendly. Vegan sausage was delicious and my Soya Mocha made by Michael was one of the best I've had. Will be returning soon.

Really impressed by separate vegan menu- specifically by Vegan Society Logo alongside detailed official definition of veganism.

Menu doesn’t pay lip service to veganism as there are some more thoughtful offerings like the Mac’n’Cheese’ and soyamince chilli.



Tried their trial of vegan square sausage- Sunday’s tweaked version and it is absolutely fantastic- you guys have nailed it!

Just visited this morning to try out the vegan slice and it was delicious! Lovely little cafe with very attentive staff who could not have been nicer! Will defiantly be back!!

If Carlsburg did vegan food, it would be called Brooklyn Cafe! Best Sunday brunch I've had in a long time. Separate vegan menu with loads to choose from all a great prices. Really friendly staff that are knowledgeable about their menu. Worth a return visit! �

Went for brunch with my two friends today as I had heard great things. The three of us ordered pancakes but were really dry and not pleasant to eat.

Cafe does has a lovely atmosphere and we will probably return but only for a coffee and cake.

Visited last Sunday for brunch, place was mobbed but service was very good. I did however order the pancake stack and had my mouth all set for freshly made buttermilk pancakes hot off the griddle but sadly I got re-heated microwaved pancakes that were inedible & a pathetic drizzle of maple syrup. I was gutted. The rest of my party of 4 did enjoy what they had however.

I’ve been here many times and have never been disappointed by the food or service. I was there with my son and my sister yesterday. It was my sister’s first time here and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Our only complaint was that it was quite cold where we were sitting, at the window below the stairs. I appreciate it was cold outside, but felt the heating could have been turned up a bit and this would have added to the ambiance.

My friend and I visited today (where due to have lunch at Glad Cafe but due to limited menu we tried here instead) and when we first arrived it seemed lovely, we were sat upstairs and ordered lunch.



Lunch was good for the price and after finishing we ordered coffee and mentioned to the girl attending to our table that after finishing our coffee we would prob have another and order some scones.......



As we were upstairs and there was no one there, my friend needed to charge his laptop so we moved from our table for two to a larger table close to plug socket (space for our coffee and scones too) and when the girl attending to our table noticed that we had moved she stormed over, grabbed the menus that were on the table and slammed them on the table we have moved from. My friend and I were in shock by her reaction and we both couldn’t believe what we witnessed......we both work in hospitality and would never dare to act in such a manner!



My friend wanted to say something but I requested that he didn’t and as discussing this we could hear the girl say loudly to her colleague that we moved table (table 14 to 17 I think she said, not that it matter really) and we decided at that time to finish the work we had started, pay the bill and take ourselves elsewhere to get our additional coffees. It took us approx 45 minutes to do this and no one came back to us to even find out if we did wish to order anything else......all because we moved table. No one else was upstairs and if the table was needed we would have moved without any issue.



That experience today just shocked us both and as a local I would recommend the food but NOT the service which is a real let down as I only live 10 minutes from the cafe and really was a gem to find until this happened.



When out and about on appointments my friend and I look for places we can relax, get work done, have good coffee and food - maybe our weekly business doesn’t mean a lot as they have a good local base for business and regulars and that’s ok........we shall go back to the Gald Cafe instead.



Really was disappointing and if you would like to discuss this more-just PM me and happy to continue this feedback.

Just sat down with my parents & toddler then had to listen to the waitress complain to another customer about how she was done with having kids in & having to rearrange furniture because of buggies. Poor attitude. Chocolate cake disappointing for £4.95.
