Absolutely lovely hotel. Rooms are spotless, staff are friendly, breakfast was delicious. Could not fault this place at all. They have a very small chargeable car park but due to my husband having a blue badge we were able to park at the front on the single yellow free of charge.

Rooms don't have a safe. There is only 4 parking spaces for the hotel so you have to get in quick. Staff were rude. Hotel decor was nice and the rooms were clean. Would not recommend and won't stay again

Clean, but small rooms. Helpful staff. Within walking distance of several good restaurants and grocery stores. A bit of a hike to attractions.

Good Hotel, shame about the staff

The hotel is in a great location, situated about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Edinburgh and the castle.

The hotel itself is fine, looks nice, is clean and tidy but there are a few things that put a dampener on our arrival. When we tried to check in we were not greeted with a happy hello, instead we were met with a rather unhappy looking staff member who just asked for the name our booking was under. No friendly hello or smile or anything to make us feel welcome. After a 6 hour drive this was not what we expected, we certainly did not feel welcome. On our other interactions with the front desk the manner of other staff members was better but still felt a little unwelcoming.

We were aware that parking at the hotel was limited and had pre booked a space as per the hotel suggestion, which I'm glad we did as the hotel only has 3 spaces for its 40+ available rooms. Not a complaint just want other to be aware that parking is very limited and to make sure you pre book. Parking covers you from 2pm to 2pm and you cant always park before then depending on other residents checking out.

Our room was fine overall, clean comfy and well presented, however it was missing some amenities that some (including ourselves) would consider standard for any hotel room. It was missing a safe, hair dryer, iron. These may have been available on request but due to our short stay we did not have the need for them.

Lovely hotel and lovely rooms. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The location is great, easy to get to from the airport using the tram and not far to walk to the centre of town. If I had to make a criticism I would say the towels are a tad small (I'm pretty tall and so they don't really cover me) and our room was two single beds pushed together so you kind of fall a bit down the gap. Neither of these things would stop me from staying here again though! Thumbs up.

Great hotel! Very cosy room, decorated in true British style. A huge semi soft king size bed with lovely pillows and covers. Only negative was that the window didn't close probably, which intensified the noise from street.

OK. Walls are a bit thin, can hear a lot. Reasonably good location. Rooms are small but OK.

Just stayed the weekend (Friday & Saturday night). Book in was quick and efficient, you actually get a key to your room, not an electronic card. Yes rooms are small, but more than adequate for staying in. If you want a bigger room pay the price at a larger hotel! Bathroom again was small but adequate. Large mist free light bathroom mirror, and powerful shower. My room, 211, was extremely quiet, most noise I heard was a bird (feathered type) tweeting outside. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again in future as long as prices stay reasonable.

Staff nice, food nice. hospitality bar was a bit of a shock. Lots of rubbish inc furniture built up outside, bed was very soft and light up mirror was a nice touch
