Myself and a friend who have only been coarse fishing for just over a year tried our luck here after being recommended to by a member of Ayrshire Angling Club. John the owner was welcoming and full of hints, tips and advice to help us get the most out of our day. WHAT A DAY!! I have always wanted to catch a Carp and after following John and a local fisherman Davy's advice I managed to catch one. Seven actually! The scenery is stunning, the fishery very tidy which can't be said of many and with it being just off the motorway it is handy for travelling to from central Scotland or the North of England. The tackle shop has everything you need if you've forgotten something all very reasonably priced too. Don't think about it DO IT! Trust me you will not regret it. I'm still on a high.

Great place, great people.

I try not to review a place until I've been more than once. John and Carol the owners have built a great venue based on damned hard work. If you're into your fishing then try this place. It's on the way to Loch Ken so why not spend at least a day here. I'm sure you will come back.

Great fishery with a well stocked bait and tackle shop. Caters for all abilities and has a great match scene. Various well stocked lakes to choose from and just a great place to just sit back take in the wildlife and relax. The fish are all in mint condition and some real specimens to be had! The Carp fight harder than any other Carp I have ever caught. If your in the area give it a go you wont be disappointed!

Before I write this review I would like you to note that I have fished many well known commercial fisheries in England. When I moved back to Scotland a few years ago I decided to reinvest in some fishing tackle having sold it when I knew I was moving back to a country that was mostly salmon and trout. After a few searches on the internet I found Broom Fisheries so decided to give it a try. First impressions were excellent. Well stocked tackle shop, friendly welcome not just from John and Carole but from the regulars that fished there. and the fishing.......well it was equal to if not better than some commercials I'd fished elsewhere. I now tend to fish the matches, but just had a couple of days pleasure fishing on Queensberry and Bruce's and had well over 100 pounds of fish both days. It's a really great place to get anyone interested in coarse fishing. You don't need a load of fancy gear to catch I was catching on a waggler and pellet, however if you want the fancy gear then you will find it in the shop. Really worth a visit, always improving the lakes I would recommend this to anyone.

Great place to fish, well maintained and well stocked. Brilliant tackle shop on site, but make sure you bring your own food as there are no food facilities here.
