You really can't beat a Bagel in general but Bross bagels have nailed it! We tried two different kinds a traditional and a chipotle kind. Both delicious and fantastic value for money too - great quality ingredients and all hand prepared. Well done Larah - entrepreneur extraordinaire.

Treated ourselves to lunch from BROSS Bagels on the High Street, Portobello today - absolutely delicious. We had the Porty (hot smoked salmon, Crowdie cream cheese, lemon, dill and cracked black pepper - superb!... and the Big Apple - equally delicious (pastrami, Monterey Jack cheese, pickle and Dijonaise) - very NYC! Great new addition to the High Street - will definitely come again - all the best :-)

Top quality sandwich bar with a great vibe. If you looking for a place where you can take your loved one before you have a walk along the beach - this is your joint! The price range reflects the quality. Service is friendly and quick. Big up for these guys!

The most amazing bagels in town! I had the breakfast bagel recommended by the guys with a flat white. Divine! Made my day. I have told everyone about this place and many friends have been and are now regulars!

Superb. There's a lovely buzz to the place and a great range of bagels, from traditional white with sesame seeds to rye sourdough. I had an issue with my bagel which was dealt with promptly, courteously with lots of apologies. If that wasn't enough, they were also handing out little cups of chilled Rooibos, which was exactly what was needed on a hot day. These folk clearly care about their customers and I'll be happy to return.

OMG a decent (very good!) in this country. Thankyou Bross Bagels. I stopped by to pick up a couple of bagels (I literally bring back a dozen from Boston when I go each year and fashion them in the freezer over my weekends!) but now I can go here.

Texture, flavour and sooooooo much bette than any other deli bagel attempt or the supermarket rubbish packs.

I’ll be back regularly!

Popped it in the fridge for lunch.......but just HAD to eat it!!

I'd recommend not leaving it too late on thursdays and fridays as i've been in after 2 for a late lunch and they've been out of bagels. Learnt my lesson and go earlier now!

Excited to hear about another location in Leith as i live in the area.

I was not feeling my normal, maritime self. I was finding life pushing me down and needed something to lift me back up. I needed something from home. I needed something made with love. Bross Bagels provided all of that and more. My only regret is that I didn't take more everything Bagels home with me, a mistake I will not venture twice to make. Thank you from a New Brunswicker, I'll be back soon!!!!

I see a few people moaning about the price. Bullony... what does a Fiver get you h�these days? A Big Mac Meal? � Bought a Reu-Bross from Leith Walk branch there and was blown away by the flavour... WOW..!! � best of quality all round and service with a huge smile... I will be back.....soon..........very soon lol �

I love Bross Bagel!! Omg the best bagel I ever had in my life! Montreal is my favourite so far. Poppy seed bagel so crispy and the filling so juicy and delicious. I order 2 today for lunch and finnished them haha� I will def order more!!

Great place! The staff are all lovely and friendly, they even gifted us a couple of the cinnamon bagels � I got the turkey club bagel and it was HUGE and delicious. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a go for a filling lunch.

Cool place coffee is great and the bagels and choice of fillings are brilliant. The bagels taste just like American bagels and they sell pumpernickel bagels at the weekends!!

Came along to get lunch for myself and my colleagues from Joanne's dog grooming salon. Wow! Bagels were outstanding! Absolutely delicious! So happy you guys have come to porty, it's just what we needed! Can't wait to try all your toppings! Super friendly, helpful and upbeat.... Dude is also loooovely! X

Bross Bagels is a new bagel emporium on Portobello High Street. The super lovely staff serve deliciously-filled bagels made to their custom recipe by the Breadshare Community. Industrial chic interior and good coffee too. Ideal!

Great bagels, great decor. They also sell bagels unfilled by the half dozen which is good if you want to eat them at home.



However, if you want the "london" bagel (salt beef, dill pickle, english mustard) to live up to its name, then the salt beef needs to be a couple of proper slices - as thick as your fingers - not a few delicate slithers of pastrami. £5.50 for what is essentially a round sandwich is nothing to write home about. A shame!
