I attended Broughton High School from1953-1958
I realise what a great education I received there
I was in the choir and we performed in the Messiah in the Usher Hall.I was also on the field hockey team
I have travelled to many countries and I find especially in North America how badly educated the
People are .They seem to know nothing of the rest of the world and live in their own little bubble
E.g. Questions I have been asked
UK is only England
Where is Scotland
Do you have a king or president
How long did it take you to learn English

i get that it has a wide range of education but the pupils at this school are horrible and for sensitive shy people it can be hell.

I've gone to this school for a year I am a Hungarian student here and I just can say it is a better place than my former school. The children are kinder, funnier and more helpful than the Hungarians (generally, of course). Or are they only typical Scottish people? Actually I do not know but I feel great here :) The teachers were really nice at the beginning and they are still. They were really understanding and they asked about Hungary and our traditions; they were very curious :D But there is a little problem: the school's appearance. That is horrible. I think it looks like a monastery what has made from stone in the 19th century. But overall I like this place :)
