Browns

Very slow service, we had to wait for ages to order food or get the plates cleared or get and pay the bill..
No cutlery given for mains or desserts..
Mussles as a main are very small, they weren't warm enough to, I guess because they were under the light waiting.. chips were too salty and too well done..
Sticky toffee pudding wasn't the best either, granola doesn't suit it, all together tastes very dry as there isn't much toffee sauce.
I won't come back as the low standard comparing to high prices doesn't work for me..

It's fine, it's a chain, what more do you expect? Not really sure why people go here when there are a gazillion better places on offer within a five minute walk...

Nice atmosphere and could have been in Paris, Brussels or Prague. Good service from friendly staff. Perhaps a bit pricey but download their app for discount offers. Nice food, nice place.

Lovely environment. Brilliant afternoon tea with plenty of choice. Very good value. Would recommend you give it a try. The menu all looked lovely and reasonably priced for George street

Lovely place to visit. Me and my boyfriend, we had our afternoon Tea at Brown's Edinburgh. The waitors and waitress are really friendly. The Tea set is really nice as well, they have really nice Scones and red velvet Cake. Fully recommended, if i ever come and visit Edinburgh again, i will surely visit again!

The place has a good environment to relax, accompanied by warm service by the staff. Food was excellent with a good range of drinks.

Food was unappetising, cold starters. ( I had mussels) , mother had prawn cocktail followed by a rare fillet which came out bleu, not cooked to correct temperature. My Roast chicken wasn't as advertised as such on the menu. Overall Disappointed and made a swift exit never to return.

Came in a large group for afternoon tea. Tea itself was quite nice, sandwiches and cakes were good but nothing special. Staff were attentive but seemed thrown off by how many of us the were, odd as we'd booked. Only breakfast tea as an option, no earl grey or fruit tea offered but not bad for the price.

It was the first time I've been to Browns and I am very impressed. It was peak lunch time, the place is 80% full and the staff was a little rushed.

Although rushed they were attentive, generally make eye contact, give them a sec to finish up and they are attending to you!

Polite and efficient!

Food portion was spot on! My partner and I had a main dish each and it was very satisfying.

I have not a bad word to say nor can I nit pick at all!

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Brown's!
