Buchan Thistle Pottery Description
Established in 1867 by Alexander Wilson Buchan in Portobello, edinburgh, the pottery produced stoneware bottles jam jars amd foot warmers as well as a series of decorative items.
In 1972 the pottery was moved to a purpose built site on the outskirts of Crieff in Perthshire. the pottery is commited to pursuing high standards of quality and craftmanshi. The result of which, is that the Buchan Thistle trademark is now recognised as a symbol of quality worldwide.
