Can't quite see us!
What an amazing sweet spot. I can STILL smell the lovely breakfast scents waking me from a comfy slumber. Perfect!!! Spot for exploring Orkney ... Great for bikers/backpackers! Close to ferry and bus route! Love!!!!!
We spent four nights at Burnside. It was perfect. The views (and breakfasts) were amazing. Joy was welcoming, very friendly and extremely helpful. Stromness is small but perfectly formed with a great modern art gallery, a packed traditional museum and great food in Hummavore, the Ferry Inn and Julia's cafe.
Meraviglioso B&B, ottima prima colazione, fantastica padrona di casa. Siamo stati in questa "casa" per tre notti e siamo stati trattati non come ospiti ma come parte della famiglia. Joy è fantastica e un'ottima cuoca. Prima colazione superba. Consiglio vivamente di passare almeno una notte da Joy.

Like staying at your Aunty's! Great location, easy to find and the views are amazing.
Joy made my stay on the Orkney mainland very special. Her guesthouse sets an extremely high standard for all other accomodations. Loads of thinking and love was put into the room design. The breakfast was freshly prepared every morning with local products. I still remember the pleasent chats on the breakfast table with the other guests. I cannot thank Joy enough for this wonderful experience. I will recommend this guesthouse to any guest any time. Again many thanks!
