Last week, we introduced our newest recruits who were pictured with our Coaching Manager, John Chalmers. John has worked in Business Stream for over four years and has a passion for developing talent.

According to Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) Association for Mental Health, every year 1 in 4 people in Scotland will experience a mental health issue. We want to ensure our colleagues have people to reach out to if they need support, that’s why we introduced Mental Health First Aiders in our offices.

At Business Stream, we like to ensure our front line teams are set up for success, that’s why we start their journey in the water industry with an engaging and informative induction. Here’s our Coaching Manager, John Chalmers with our newest recruits.

Last year, we had new water fountains installed in our office to encourage our people to top up from the tap. As a result of using these fountains, we’ve managed to eliminate the need for over 50,000 plastic bottles!

Our CEO, Jo Dow, and Customer Operations Director, Jo Mayes, had a fantastic night at the sported parliamentary reception. It was really inspiring to hear how Sported are working to improve the lives of young people through sport clubs, youth groups and small charities across Scotland. Congratulations to our latest graduates from the Institute of Customer Service ‘First Impressions’ course. We’re proud to support the development of our frontline teams to ensure they provide a first-class customer service.

Today Sophia Goring, our Senior Corporate Communications Manager, is speaking at the Scottish Business Pledge Event on Environmental Impact. Sophia will be sharing her insights on the steps we’re taking as a business to reduce our own impact on the environment, and how we are supporting our customers to do the same.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Scottish Government public sector framework contract. The three-year contract, worth around £200 million, will see us provide water and waste water services to public bodies across Scotland, including Local Authorities, NHS Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue, Police Scotland, Scottish Prison Service, universities and colleges and the Scottish Government. We were delighted to invite our local MSP, Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP, to our office today. During the meeting we discussed how the business has grown in the past year and updated him on our activities to support our vision to make a positive difference.
