What attracted you to Shetland and to Busta House ?
I was looking for a new adventure and upon researching Shetland I quickly realised it was completely unique in comparison to anywhere else in the U.K.

Smiley, Friendly, Enthusiastic
What do you like most about Shetland ?
I love how friendly and welcoming everyone is. Also the scenery, there are some absolutely stunning places in Shetland.
Who is someone you admire and why ?
My Grandfather, he was a very hardworking, loving and caring man. He started working full time aged only 13!
What do you enjoy most about your job ?
I really enjoy customer interaction and meeting new people on a daily basis, whether it’s locals or people from all over the world.
Flashback to 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up ?
My mother always reminds me that I wanted to be Martin Fowler from Eastenders, I really wanted to run my own fruit and veg stall.

You can never go wrong with a meal from Busta. Great food, excellent staff and such a lovely venue!

What can I say? Joel and Grant have a real gem here. A magnificent house which oozes history and charm coupled with great food, a grand whiskey collection and fantastic staff. The views from my room were simply stunning. I did not want to leave!

This needs to be on your bucket list of top hotels to visit in Scotland!

We went to busta house for a family meal as it was our Ruby anniversary. They let us have a small private area to ourselves. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. We all enjoyed our meal as usual. We always get a great meal at Busta. Thanks guys.

We recently had our wedding at busta and we can't recommended it enough! Joel, Grant and all their staff did a fantastic job to make it a completely seemless day, with fantastic food and a great venue! Thank you again guys 😊

We married here 10 years ago, and have been coming back ever since, with our most recent being last night. Stayed in the most beautiful Linga room after having a delicious 3 course meal in the bar. Absolutely perfect stay, will be back again very soon :)

We had a meal for my mothers 60th on tuesday night , the food was world class and the staff were superb , they had the champagne on ice for us arriving in the long room , fully recommend to everyone!

We had a lovely night staying in busy over the weekend . Just so lovely sitting through with the beautiful open fire. Was so cozy. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Little mix up with the food order but was soon replaced. Again the staff handled it very well.

The view from the room and walk around the gardens and down the beach the next morning was just stunning.

Thank you Joel, Grant and staff for an amazing meal tonight and for making me and egg free Birthday cake ! ���

My husband surprised me with a night at Busta house for my birthday. We stayed in the muckle row suite it was beautiful, and to top it off we had a superb meal in the restaurant and a super breakfast . 5 stars all the way

Lovely place in beautiful surroundings. Had lunch with my mum, sister and a friend - the food was superb and the service attentive. I have a dietary requirement (gluten free) and they were very helpful in helping me choose...in actual fact all my original choices were fine with minor adjustments (no bread etc.). Would love to stay and be spoilt!

Love this place! Friendly helpful staff. We had our wedding there and Grant and Joel were very helpful in organising it all and making our day perfect � food is amazing and the rooms are lovely and clean. Deffo be back here again for our first anniversary.

Just spent an evening celebrating my wife's birthday and my parents golden wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic.Huge thank you to everyone at Busta who helped made our celebrations all so enjoyable.

It's 2 years since we last visited Shetland and it's great to see some things don't change. Busta House is just as cosy, warm and welcoming as we remembered and the food is still superb, as is Grant, whose charismatic and outgoing personality fills the place even when he's not talking!



It was my partner's birthday just before we arrived in Shetland and (with Grant, Joel and chefs Daniel and Linda's help) I had organised a special and rather gigantic 'death by chocolate' chocolate truffle cheesecake, to my home tested recipe.



We came up with friends who run Rockvilla B&B in Lerwick. The food was superb - Shetland hill lamb in honey and mint sauce, 2 x salmon with garlic butter and a scallops were pronounced 'delicious'. Then the sweet menu arrived, shortly after which did Grant with the special birthday cheesecake - complete with raspberry coulis, whipped cream and a firework in the top, and a couple of waiting staff singing 'Happy Birthday'.



A MASSIVE thanks to everyone who helped with the special birthday cheesecake and making Robin's belated birthday meal so special. The spoils of war went to the staff as a thankyou (I'm told it might feature on the Busta menu in future).



It was 2 years since we had last been and it felt like a week ago. 2 years is way too long between visits! We like Busta House so much it's tempting to move to Shetland permanently.

I stayed here every month without fail while traveling for work and I have to say this is the most friendly hotel I have stayed in. The hotel is so cosy looking and full of history and the rooms are amazing and all beautifully decorated. The staff are so welcoming and make you feel relaxed and at home and as for the food it is 5� and the sticky toffee is to die for. I traveled alone and never felt akward sitting eating by myself in the restaurant or having a lovely cuppa tea in the library on my own. If your visiting Shetland then this is where you want to stay for sure.

I love the whole experience of Busta House Hotel - the ambience, drinks in the Long Room, eating in the bar or the Dining Room, the attentive owners, the excellent waiting staff, the food, the wine, meeting old friends and making new ones. This is one of our very favourite places.

Had a fantastic meal at Busta last weekend, food was fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back.

Great night out for a weekend break, in a secluded location.



Excellent meal in quiet surroundings, well furnished dining room.



A superb selection of malt whiskies for afterwards if you desire, and a large reception room full of comfortable seating, in which to enjoy it.



Very comfortable 4 poster bed, in a lovely room.



Cannot fault anything about our visit, we shall stay here again.

A huge thank you to everyone at Busta for helping to make our Family celebration so special. You guys always go above and beyond to make us welcome, even letting us decorate the Sun Room before the event. Excellent food and wonderful service as always. Thanks again guys. � xx
