This red lace C&A number from the eighties was the pick of this morning’s Bustle customer. Red has been popular this month.

I just can’t kick the habit. When I see a beautiful vintage dress I have to buy it and make it a Bustle dress. This one is a 10-12. It’s a super duper, Trina Lewis, easy to wear, simple, elegant, likely to be the best little number in your wardrobe dress. And bang on trend with a touch of gold. £50.

So! Who’s up for the 2020 fast fashion challenge? No new clothes for a year? Enter vintage.... It’s not too late to start. Wear out your wardrobe, add a few vintage or pre-loved finds, exert your own style, save lots of money. Then next year, shop wisely, buy less, buy better. Save the planet and save some of our beautiful, high quality industries here in the UK by supporting British producers of luxury textiles and fashion. Let’s forget those fast fashion mega stores with their disposable clothing. Anyway, what do you think of this Belville Sassoon newby to the Bustle collection?

Yellow being my favourite colour... I love this...

Dior... Did I have a favourite? Actually, no. The original Christian Dior dresses were all my favourites. I like them all for their cut, simplicity, style and purity. These are some of my favourites from the exhibition, all of them by Dior himself. The other designers who superseded Dior were all quite different, even though they were following "the code" of the The House of Dior. I loved some of them, but others I hated. I'll do a separate post on those. Which is your favourite?

Beautiful vintage evening dresses, like this one from the 60s, are rare to find in great condition. This one lasted on the Bustle rail for less than a day before she was snapped up. If you would like to view the collection ahead of the party season, please get in touch. Bustle has taken up residency at the "Secret Boutique" in Cavalry Park, by appointment only. So make a date to come and find something special for your festive wardrobe. Evening group bookings welcome.
