By The Way Hostel and Campsite is situated directly on the West Highland Way. The Hostel sleeps 26 and has a large open plan kitchen /dining area. It is a superb location for munro "baggers". There are 50 munros within approx. 20 miles of By The Way. The trekker huts and camping cabins are ideal for campers who fancy a little bit of luxury. Dogs are also welcome in the huts and cabins.

I did Brecon Beacons Ultra on Saturday- 46+ miles. Quite a challenging course in sections, but well worth the effort. 😀
Having a fab time in Croatia. Weather could not be better, as well as swimming, running, food, etc. 😀
Edinburgh 24 on Sat - I did the 6hr option and came second overall. Pretty chuffed with that, as I had been "in a dark place" for a few weeks, as far as running (injury) went!!!!😁
John Muir Ultra 50km yesterday. Chuffed with my time of 4 hr 41 min. Weather was quite changeable, so it was one of those “jacket on, jacket off” days. 😁😁

It was great to meet these girls on Saturday, and have a fab run too. The weather even behaved. 😁
All runners out there......we are having a training weekend on 23/24/25 November (next weekend). It's different to the usual "Highland Fling" weekends, in that there are no talks or food provided. Everyone is welcome, no matter what sort of mileage you want to cover, or even if you just fancy a walk. The more the merrier. There will probably be a head torch run on the Friday evening - just a short run, for those who fancy it. Then on the Saturday the plan is to run to Be...inglas and back (approx 24 miles), or whatever distance you like - there is no pressure to do distance!! On Sunday for those who are keen, I am sure there will be a few going on another run, either just for recovery, or maybe a longer distance. Besides the running side of it, the weekend is also for people to have a good chat, and maybe a drink or two either at the pub, or in the bunkhouse. Fab few days away with Ranald. First Aviemore, where I did half marathon. Chuffed with my time - 1.39.28, and 3rd Super Vet (oh my god I am old). Spent one night in Applecross, which was amazing. Definately want to go back up that way when weather is better. 😀
