Went for lunch with friends. Service was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and well presented with good portion sizes. Went with the set menu which was good value although if you want to have vegetables with your main course you have to order that as an extra side portion at extra cost. Desserts were delicious and I had the best apple crumble I have ever tasted.

You have to check the bill as they automatically add an "optional" service charge. Normally that would have put me off however on this occasion we lingered over lunch for about 6 hours and the staff were unfailingly cheerful and helpful bringing us food and drinks as well as extra water all afternoon and deserved the tip fully. I would definitely go back.

User

Went for lunch but opted for a la carte. Food and service were excellent. We’ll be back

User

Great service and the food was perfect. Nice place, would highly recommend!

User

Great restaurant, staff so efficient and pleasant. Great menu and struggled to choose - food delicious and location perfect as right in the heart of Glasgow. We will be back. Thank you.

User

Great meal last night, food is excellent, staff are friendly and attentive, to the point that when we left one of the waiters went out of his way to pop his head out of the door as we left to thank us and wish us a good evening. Will most certainly recommend eating here and will definitely be back again.

User

Good food, friendly efficient staff. Lots of atmosphere & good pre theatre menu.

User

Fantastic location, absolutely delicious food and great, friendly and caring staff – especially the German speaking guy . Highly recommend it!

User

1st class food and service. In the last two days went for both Lunch and breakfast. really nice food and great, friendly service.

User

Love the place and always have a good experience. However, I do not agree with the 12.5% tip automatically added the bill without the waitress or Manager asks you if it is fine to add that amount to the bill, as it says optional. I do not mind to pay it, but it is not standard anywhere else here in the UK. Most places her in Glasgow charge extra for tables with 8 or more people, not at a casual dine with 2 or 4 people. It should be reviewed as many people avoid this great restaurant in town. Last night it was empty for a Saturday evening (although the weather was awfully hot for Scottish standard).

User

I'm giving this rating not because of poor food, it was lovely but because 12.5% was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned by our server - I would usually leave a cash tip. Gratuity should always b at diners discretion and never at restaurants bidding. Very poor show.

User

I am a regular at Cote Brasserie in The Barbican, , but Glasgow doesn't quite live up to them.

We both had the Sirloin steak, mine was fine, but my other halfs steak was quite fatty and had to be sent back because it was a little too underdone, it came back looking more well done, but in reality was still underdone when cut into.

User

Had lunch with my husband and daughter Food was ok steak was a little chewy in places but passable for the price The wine however was a little pricy The big shock however was to find that 121/2 % service charge had been automatically added to our bill It did say optional but when I put my card in it didn't give me the option and the total on bill was taken from my card I have never before seen that in any restaurant I have been too so as a consequence I won't be back. Other would be visitors be warned and examine your bill closely

User

Food was great but billing was freakin shady. The bill had optional tip but when they took my money they also included the tip in what they took. Not very option. Very shady shit!

User

Booked a table for dinner as previously been for lunch. First visit was amazing. Food and service 1st class. Left disappointed as I expected the same level of service. Our waiter didn't smile and made myself and my husband very uncomfortable. I had to repeat myself to him countless times. Not made to feel welcome at all. But 10/10 for the lady who welcomed us as we arrived. So lovely.

User

Great place, food ok but lacking attention to detail. Had the French onion soup which was quite bland, if you serve soup it should be eaten with a soup spoon not dessert, no soup spoons in the building! Also the 12.2% service charge not warranted.
