About Ca First Aid

As an ex member of Galloway mountain rescue team and Royal Engineer and a fully qualified outdoor instructor and overseas expedition leader I have first-hand experience in working in remote hostile environments around the Globe. Working with in the guidelines set out by the HSE first aid at work regulations and the Forestry Commissions First Aid policy, I have been able to pull on my many experiences throughout my life time to pull together what I think is the most relevant and as close to what the original commission first aid policy as we can deliver. Our course is always evolving, and as new techniques and equipment is develop we change the course to meet these requirements. Although I have to say that most of what we deliver has been shared by the industry themselves. Our aim is to be the most relevant and informed forestry first aid training provider in the country. I think it is important that we keep updated with the current health and safety guidelines so 4 years ago we joined both FISA and Confor. If we are going to provide forestry first aid training it's important we understand the industry, so I try to visit working sites as much as I can. Until you can understand how the industry works its hard to provide a course that best suites the industry. Our course content is made up of real-life experiences from every single person that comes along on a course.
