"Ladies and gentlemen, children and animals, people of the world and surrounding planets, can I ask you for a deliciously slow drum roll please… It is with great delight, a tear in my eye and butterflies in my stomach, that I can now announce the long-awaited opening of Café Kombucha on MONDAY 12th NOVEMBER at 9.30am. I cannot thank you enough for your patience, support and understanding during this rollercoaster of a time and for those people, I would like to invite you to c...elebrate with us on Friday 9th with a glass of something bubbly. From 7pm, we will be offering a limited menu of tapas with a complimentary glass of vegan wine or a cheeky chilled Left Field Kombucha. But that’s not all… Bringing us the tunes of the night are Karawane; an eclectic DJ collective who have recently come home to settle in the Highlands, bringing vinyl from all over the globe. From Ethiopian jazz to Columbian salsa, New Orleans soul to Kingston ska, Ghanaian afrobeat to the tropical sound of Guadeloupe and they'll be helping to open Café Kombucha in fine style! This is your chance to hear the music before their Ironworks Venue debut on November 24th! 🥂 So, the question is, who’s coming?"

Weather is looking great for tonight but make sure you wear a hat and gloves to keep the frost at bay! We're thinking deeper...to keep you warm from the inside. We're so tantalisingly close to opening our doors, we can hardly contain ourselves; in fact, I'm just going to spill some tasty titbits onto our Facebook page. Look at that workmanship, I couldn't keep it to myself! I honestly couldn't have worked with a better bunch who designed, sweated and grafted, working through evenings and weekends to make my dream into a reality. And it's nearly here... Without the help of such AMAZING people and businesses like Mindful Creations and Funky Furbish. Up-Cycle Shabby Chic amongst MANY more, Elgin would never have such a unique, workable, artistic and creative space and to you all, I cannot thank you enough. Café Kombucha is looking forward to providing some top scran at the Burghead Station Yard Community Garden Bonfire & Fireworks Night on 2nd November! We will be serving sweet potato chili with sides of cheese, salsa and guacamole. Music from Gordonstoun Concert & Jazz Bands too and washed down with mulled wine. See you all then!! 😁

I know, i know, you guys are chomping at the bit just as much as we are to get an Opening Date!! SO, to stop us chewing our nails, we're off to munch on this pizza instead. We'll be in touch as soon as we know... *pinky promise* #TheVegansAreComing

Well, there’s no easy way to break this to you… As a complete novice at running a business, I have been naive in accepting the spoken word as fact when in reality, I have just discovered that this is in no way binding… There are certain legislative protocols I didn’t realise I had to follow and undertake in the correct order.
As we all do, I am learning day by day and although the café is looking bloody awesome, the menu that is the closest thing to vegan gastronomy perfecti...on, that pesky paperwork has to be above board before both the greater gods and I, are happy to open with confident smiles on our faces.
We are bowled over by the level of support, feedback and positivity surrounding Café Kombucha and I hope that you will continue until we can finally open our doors and offer you a warm welcome, hopefully, end of October at the latest.
On the plus side, this delay gives us more opportunities to tweak the fineries like sampling top notch ‘booch from Scottish company Left Field Kombucha!!
In the meantime, we URGE you to sign up to our newsletter where you will be the first to hear all about updates, invite-only events and some other things that we can’t advertise too widely…
