Dear Friends of Café Tabou,
You may have heard through the Perth grapevine recently that Magda and I have exciting plans to move on from Café Tabou. And indeed, this is true!
We've immensely enjoyed our time in Perth over the past 15 years and thoroughly enjoyed building and developing Café Tabou into the thriving, award-winning city centre restaurant that it's become. Over recent years, working with our business partner, Derek Petterson, has been a pleasure and his friendshi...p is one that we will treasure having made from our time spent here in Scotland.
However, as with all things in life, there is a time to move on and to celebrate the past, the present and the future.
I’m delighted to announce that I’ve been offered an exciting new role in a new hotel back in my homeland of Poland and Café Tabou as a business has been sold to David Bednarik and his wife Kate. David has worked locally for a number of years, is experienced and capable.
Myself, Magda and our family have decided that our move is one full of opportunity and we’re excited to be embracing this new challenge. Importantly, our move will also will also allow us to spend more time with our children Filip (6) and Maja who is now over 2 years old!
So, therefore, this is, technically, our last weekend as owners of Café Tabou and we wish to thank you for your loyal support over the years and for the great friendships that we’ve made.

excellent food excellent staff and fair price for it well worth a visit if your in perth

What a wonderful lunch and dinner menu! I've visited twice within 5 days and the food and service has been fantastic! Big big thumbs up to your special dish of the day on Saturday - the seafood risotto. It was so tasty and full of delicious seafood. And we couldn't resist a dessert last night... crepes suzette is a personal favourite and you cooked it beautifully!

Went for lunch with a friend on Monday, what a treat! Black Pudding Bon Bons to start and a fabulous Beef Stoganoff as a main. Absolute excellence, can't wait to go back.

We were here last night for my husbands birthday on recommendation from friends. We had the steak for 2 meal and it was amazing �. The steak was cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and welcoming too. We'll definitely be back.

We loved the food so much we went back a second time. Considering we were only in Perth for 4 nights, that’s some recommendation. The duck was particularly good as was the ribeye steak and the Sunday roast was roast scotch fillet, cooked to perfection. To top the evening off, the French won the World Cup, well deserved. Good service, exquisite food, lovely atmosphere.

We had a very special celebration here today, it was just perfect! Food was amazing, Evette looked after everyone so well, Thanks for such a lovely afternoon �

Visited on Saturday and ate from the Terrace Menu! Camembert with a Waldorf salad. The food was delicious and the Prosecco was one of the nicest I have had!

I’ve been coming to Cafe Tabou for years now and somehow Marek and is team just keep getting better and better

I went with my son yesterday and had sharing meat platter to start and the two roast dinners

The food was absolutely outstanding combined with a fantastic and friendly service

Well done everyone see you all again soon �

First time in this restaurant, well what can I say, what an absolutely fabulous meal we had, staff were superb, couldn’t do enough for you, thanks so much, my husband and I will definitely be back.

Came in for lunch on Sunday. Food was beautiful. Had our French friend with us and she said the Roast beef was cooked perfectly, as was her seafood veloute. Rose house wine was delicious too.

Amazing place,great atmosphere,friendly staff, delicious food,best goat cheese salad I ever tasted, good choice of wine

Always enjoy coming to Cafe Tabou. The menu is always interesting and I have never chosen anything that I would not recommend . Had a lovely lunch yesterday with friends . Would recommend the chicken casserole which was a very generous serving . Friends also enjoyed their main courses and judging by the clean plates the desserts went down a treat too. I can't see past the creme brûlée and the others enjoyed bread pudding , cheesecake and lemon posset . All delicious 😋
