At Cail Bruich, our aim is to provide a relaxed fine dining experience unique in Glasgow with food that is seasonal, inspirational, and above all, delicious as our focus.

To help achieve this, we select only the freshest seasonal British produce. We then pair it with an exclusive wine list, featuring small wine producers, a drinks menu containing premium Scottish spirits, botanicals and tonics and select Scottish craft ales.

The passion of our kitchen and front of house teams shine through in what we aim to deliver: quality and consistency.

We are pleased to be able to say that our food has won awards and our service and attention to detail has been well recognised. We shall strive to please our guests for many years to come.

There will be a change of guard at Cail Bruich this evening when our Head Sommelier Kaspars Reitups ends his time with us and hands over the responsibilities of the role to his assistant for the past 18 months, Lewis Morton.
Kaspars – who has been a key member of our team for almost 2-and-a-half years – is returning to his native Latvia, where he will be continuing his career as a Head Sommelier in a new restaurant there.
We wish to thank Kaspars for the enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism that he brought to the role in Cail Bruich and raise a toast to his success in the new challenges ahead.

The spotlight falls on MAD LAB.

User

We are pleased to announce that MAD LAB will be the latest restaurant residency in the Acid Bar, SWG3’s café restaurant space from 5 April 2019.
MAD LAB originated as a series of hugely-popular evening events held within Cail Bruich: when each section in the kitchen was given free rein to create their own dishes, based upon the finest seasonal availabilities from Scotland’s natural larder.
In keeping with the ethos maintained by Cail Bruich, dishes have been designed around ...seasonal ingredients and will evolve regularly throughout MAD LAB’s residency.
In contrast to Cail Bruich’s more classical approach, MAD LAB will pioneer an enhanced casual dining experience whilst exploring experimental cooking methods within the Acid Bar.
MAD LAB will run every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and on Sundays (for brunch) from 5 April until September.
For menus and to book, please visit: www.madlabglasgow.co.uk

Whilst Cail Bruich is widely-recognised for our carefully-curated selection of wines - chosen by our Head Sommelier Kaspars Reitup (a competitor in this year's "The Best Sommelier of the World" contest in Antwerp) - the remainder of the drinks offerings in the restaurant also receive similar levels of dedication and attention.
Under the auspices of our Head Bartender Conor Moncrieff (pictured), we offer a selection of alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic drinks, which - like... the recipes in our kitchens - draw upon the use of local and seasonal ingredients whenever possible, whether foraged, fermented, simmered, squeezed or infused.
To view our latest Drinks List: bit.ly/DrinksList-February2019
With the global final of the Diageo World Class 2019 cocktail competition being held in Glasgow in September this year, Troon-born Conor fully intends to ensure that the drinks served in Cail Bruich – whether individually or as part of the new drinks pairings, created to complement our tasting menus – will continue to equal the highest standards found in our city.

We travelled up for a weekend in Glasgow just because we’d never been. In doing so we found one of our favourite restaurants ever. And we’ve eaten in a fair few decent places. Food and wine were sensational. Service was warm and wonderful. It’s just a shame we live nearly 400miles from our new favourite restaurant.

For anyone who finds themselves closer than 400 miles away, it is a must. You won’t regret it.

User

We have just enjoyed one of the best meals we've ever had. The food, the presentation and the quality of service was really outstanding. It was a slightly different night with Graeme Cheevers visiting and it was well worth going.

In particular we'd like to highlight the young sommelier who was very engaging, knowledgeable and gave us just the right amount of information about the drinks, without tipping over into being insufferable. Lovely guy.

User

We had lunch for 4 from the Lunch Menu. The staff could not have been better. Very attentive, knowledgeable & happy answer all our questions. The 'snacks' were delicious with smoked eel and the 2nd was pork knuckle A great selection of wines and beer to go with your meal and the staff were there to help with the choice of dessert wine. All the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. This was our first time and we will most definitely be back very soon. Thanks for a great experience!

User

Visited one of our favourite restaurants again. The finest dining experience we have ever had! Absolutely loved the winter seasonal menu and the wine selection. Thank you everyone at CB!

User

Visited last night and must say ..... this was the best dining out experience I've had in many many many years!!!! For years I was a silver service waitress which has jaded most of my experiences but after many disappointing years of "eating out" I can wholeheartedly recommend this gem....Conor must receive much thanks for guiding us through our experience...... Lovely flavours complimenting each other..... and from start to finish .......it flowed!!!!! One of the hottest days in Glasgow the relief of the air conditioning put me at ease and prepared me for this wonderful meal...... Well done you guys!!!!

User

This was our third visit to Cail Bruich, it was excellent as always. The tasting lunch was superb value for money, every course was devoured, cooked perfectly as always. Washed down with a beautiful bottle of Chablis. The waiting staff are all extremely knowledgable, all the small things are taking care of as you'd expect in such a quality establishment. These guys aren't far off a Michelin star, surely? Thanks guys, we'll be back soon!!

This place is We had the most amazing wedding reception here back in 2016. It was incredible, and our friends still talk about how amazing the food was to this day! since then we can't keep away!! The team are awesome, and the food is without a doubt the best in Glasgow We absolutely love it here Xx

User

The food is just out of this world, with its artistic delivery, mouth watering textures and morish flavour it is a food experience not to be missed. The staff are extremely friendly and provided a great atmosphere for this restaurant. Book now!!

User

Once again this delivered on every level. The chefs showcased their skill and devotion to every dish, and it showed as the food was outstanding! The front of house staff were impeccable, and the maitre'd even remembered us from the last time we visitied which only compounded the fact that this is one of the best dining experiences you will ever have. My next visit can't come quick enough.

User

Michelin star must be on its way the food last night at the chefs table for my daughters 20th was outstanding and on a par with the fabulous The Kitchin in Leith.

User

Lovely restaurant terrific food staff are great they know all about the food they are serving as well as the wine selections.Your made to feel very welcome and I always feel very comfortable when I visit this restaurant.

User

It was a bit strange walking in their front door to push aside curtains....to our delight thereafter was a warm welcoming reception each course was described and their contents explained also how it was cooked the waitering staff were very informative my husband was given wine to complement each course we had a delightful afternoon and would like to thank Casper who attended us on knowledge of the wines.

User

It deserves 5 stars, the food, service and staff were all amazing! Have to be honest and say felt the wine was a bit over priced, but apart from that first class, still think Six by Nico and Number 16 overall are better. Would certainly go back!

User

I've eaten in the best restaraunt across all the corners of the world and I can say without a doubt this is my place of choice, love the food, love the family and staff and glad they are close. I'm a fan to say the least and all the awards are justified. Love itx

Had the pleasure of visiting this weekend with Nigel Fraser, very lucky to get in as last minute. One of the finest dining experiences I have had in the UK in a very long time.

Provided the perfect setting, staff who knew their stuff and chefs who created the most incredible food experience.

Looking forward to visiting again when we return to Glasgow very soon.

Another fantastic experience. The food was outstanding and the staff were so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Such a lovely relaxing dinner. Thank you, you should all be proud of the service you provide.

User

An excellent restaurant. We had the introductory tasting menu slightly adapted for our pescetarian diet. Every course was sublime. Apparently the menus change every couple of weeks so there is always an excuse - not that one is needed - to go back.

The presentation of each course, including the complimentary appetisers, was impressive and the attention to detail spot on.

Each course had a real depth of flavour and left you anticipating the next course.

The service also deserves a nod: the waiters were exactly on the right side of attentive and were very informative on each course they brought out.

The only negative is that anything I eat now will just be pedestrian in comparison.

5 stars....can't wait to return to do the tasting menu again this time with the wines that go along with it.

User

Absolutely perfect evening. Food fabulous, one of the best restaurants in Glasgow. Knocks spots off the Gannet and Six by Nico. The staff really know what they are doing and the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable without being in the least pretentious. One of our party was pregnant. That’s all we had to point out to the courteous and able waiter who advised the kitchen who then sent out suitable delicious dishes for our wee mum to be. Very impressed as you no doubt can see. Thanks guys for a memorable night.
